Prince is a mechahuman created by Doctor Man to be his son and heir, and an antagonist in episodes 19 and 20 of Choudenshi Bioman. He was modeled in the image of Doctor Man's actual son, Shuichi Kageyama.
He is portrayed by Hidenori Iura, who also plays the real Shuichi.
Biography[]
With his health failing him, Doctor Man feared he would not live long enough to see his empire conquer the world and created Prince to serve as his surrogate son and to succeed him once he passed. Though he had not seen his real son Shuichi since he was little, he modeled Prince to look like what Shuichi would look like as a 17 year old.
Prince first emerged when he intervened in a scheme of Mason's to steal gasoline in order to use it to power his custom-made Mecha Gigan Mecha-Grotesque. Once the Mecha Gigan was completed, Prince piloted it against the Biomen in their Bio Robo and easily overpowered them with it. However, the Biomen managed to turn the tails by stealing Mecha-Grotesque's mechanical intestines, leading Prince to send out waves of Mechaclones to terrorize humans until the Biomen returned the intestines.
It was then that Ryuuta Nanbara confronted Prince, asking him how his mother would feel about what he was doing. Not knowing who his mother was, Prince malfunctioned and began asking random women if they were his mother. Doctor Man sent Mason and Farrah to bring Prince back to Neograd but Prince refused, not wanting to go back until he had found his mother, leading them to bring him back by force. Deeming Prince a failure, Doctor Man reprogrammed him to remove all his human emotions before sending him out to fight the Biomen in Mecha-Grotesque. It was in this battle that Prince was destroyed along with Mecha-Grotesque by Bio Robo.
Bio Hunter Silva would later create a copy of Prince to use to sneak inside Neograd. Shuichi Kageyama took the place of the second Prince in order to sneak inside as well and confront his real father.
