Prince Chan is a major antagonist in Serious Sam 2 and the third boss of the game, being the target of the Chi-Fang levels.
He is the tyrannical ruler of planet Chi-Fang and a high-ranking servant of Mental, having been entrusted with protecting one of the five pieces of the Medallion of Power.
Appearance[]
Prince Chan is a massive, morbidly obese individual with legless three-toed feet, small brown eyes, black hair and poor dental hygene. He has two tattoos on his body, a blue lollipop on the right side of his chest and a plant ring on his left arm. Though barely visible due to his large belly, he wears black and white checkered underwear and a golden ring on his right hand.
Personality[]
Prince Chan is very childish in his mannerisms and highly self-centered, forcing his subjects to celebrate his birthday with a big festival, listen to his horribly high-pitched singing and watch as he eats some of said subjects alive. His love for fresh meat is only eclipsed by his love for sweets, only relenting to come out of his palace and face Sam when he shoots a lollipop and threatens to shoot another.
Biography[]
After taking the second piece of the Medallion of Power from Zumzum, the Great Sirian Council sent Sam to the planet Chi-Fang, whose population the ChiChe were being terrorized by Mental's servant Prince Chan. Freeing them from his grasp would allow them to help the Alliance in the future, but killing Prince Chan was the only way to get his medallion piece anyways, as he outright ate it. The fact that it was his birthday provided an excellent opportunity to assassinate him during the big ceremony on the main square in Chi Fang City.
The council teleported Sam into the city, where he was quickly met with resistance by Chan's minions. This did little to dissuade them from going through with the public birthday ceremony however, so Prince Chan was indeed there when Sam arrived at the main square. The celebration was broadcast through Gnaar News Network to the rest of Mental's empire and a lavish festival with fireworks. Many citizens were forced to attend the celebration and applaud as he ate a woman whole, followed by him singing one of his self-written poems to the detriment of everyone present. It was at this point that Sam had enough of things and yelled loudly to interrupt Prince Chan, who immediately sent his forces to deal with the intruder. After Sam and Chan's servants had a brief pause to let an old man slowly walk to safety, Chan watched his minions fight Sam. Once it became clear that his minions were losing, Chan used a comparatively small balloon to somehow fly him to the safety.
Sam chased Chan back to the garden in his palace, where he tried to lure him out with a lollipop. When Chan refused to come out, Sam threw and shot one mid-air, threatening to do so again if Chan doesn't come down to face him. Devastated by the loss of the lollipop and furious at Sam Chan relented and jumped down, only to start singing and immediately fly back up again with his balloon while Sam recoiled. Their fight began and Sam used Chan's own weapons against him, ringing a massive gong inside the garden temple to cause Chan pain, as his own hearing was incredibly sensitive. Eventually Chan had enough and came down to attack Sam himself.
After enough damage, the skies darkened and cracks started forming on Prince Chan's body as the souls of his victims burst out of his body. As he cried out in pain and fear, his body quickly began to swell up, eventually exploding and leaving only the medallion piece behind. The tyrant destroyed and the people of Chi-Fang freed, the Sirian Council returned Sam to their base to send him after the next piece.
