Prince Kassad is a prominent leader in the Global Liberation Army and a major antagonist in Command & Conquer: Generals.

Biography[]

Originating from Tripoli, Libya, Kassad was an influential figure in Middle-Eastern politics who used his wealth and power to run a criminal network that carried out dozens of assassinations, hijackings and other criminal activities in exchange for being paid millions. He at some point joined with the GLA and became one of their key leaders, serving as the head of their Cobra Cell.

Following Dr. Thrax defeat and apparent death at the hands of the U.S.-Chinese coalition, Prince Kassad was one of the leaders who moved to fill the void created by his death. A schism soon broke out between forces loyal to Kassad and forces commanded by his rival for power, General Mohmar "Deathstrike". However, with the assistance of the GLA Commander, Deathstrike's forces were able to defeat Kassad's forces, with Kassad either being killed or captured depending on whether the player chooses to capture or destroy his command center.

Play Strategy[]

Kassad is a playable general in the game's skirmish mode. He epitomizes the GLA's overall strategy of striking from concealment. He specializes in stealth tactics and infiltration, and can deploy devastating ambushes. He can also strike directly into the enemy base with his Sneak Attack special power, provided there is enough open land area to deploy it. His ability to conceal units and bases makes it possible for him to survive the seeming destruction of his primary base and rebuild in secret elsewhere. However, once detected, his units are not any more powerful than identical units commanded by other generals, and he lacks the raw firepower of other factions. His Scud superweapon is unique among all factions, in that it can be hidden.
