Principal Kuno (九能校長 Kunō Kōchō) is a supporting antagonist in Ranma ½. He is the principal of Furinkan High School and the father of Tatewaki Kuno and Kodachi Kuno.
He was voiced by Tatsuyuki Jinnai (TV series) and Hōchū Ōtsuka (OVA 13) in Japanese and Scott McNeil in English.
Biography[]
Before the beginning of the series. Principal Kuno used to annoy his students with his discipline methods and mischievous behaviors. At some point he went to a travel to Hawaii, where he would become an admirer of the theme of the place.
Three years later, he returned to Furinkan High, where he meets Ranma Saotome and begins again with his abusive methods of discipline, like forcing boys to shave their hair and girls to have short hair. Also he puts some statues of himself to be worshipped as a deity while he can control itselfs to attack other students and force them to follow his rules. His plots usually form riots among students and are usually stopped by Ranma. Principal Kuno now looks for methods to get rid of Ranma so he can control freely his students again.
