In the cafeteria, Plankton tries to eat his food, but a purple inmate grabs and eats some if his beans, a olive green inmate drinks his milk, and finally a light blue inmate eats Plankton himself. Plankton yells that he's the most evil genius and also tells out his name. The purple inmate, thinking that the light blue inmate was saying this, doesn't believe him and says that he and the other inmates are fans of Plankton. Plankton yells his name again, and the purple inmate proceeds to punch the light blue inmate's stomach, which causes Plankton to get punched and crash into the wall. The purple and light blue inmates beat up the olive green inmate until Plankton breaks up the fight. Plankton introduces himself the inmates and tells them that they're going to do what he says.
Plankton tells the inmates that they need to break out of the jail. The inmates have ideas, but are told by Plankton that they need better ones. The whale inmate states that they could break out if they had chum and the other inmates agree, with them explaining that they have used chum to commit crimes before they were caught and imprisoned. Plankton is surprised when the hears that chum is good for commiting crimes and asks if its good to eat, although the inmates don't think so. After realizing that he overlooked the capabilities of chum, Plankton agrees to make the chum, and he and the inmates use a toilet and various items to make chum. SpongeBob overhears them and goes to the Krusty Krab to tell Mr. Krabs that Plankton and the inmates are planning on breaking into the Krusty Krab to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula, but Mr. Krabs reassures him that he'll take care of it.
At the Bikini Bottom Jail, a Prison Warden asks two of the inmates why they're out of their cells. The inmates trick the Prison Warden into smelling the napkin and cause him to get knocked out. The other Prison Wardens try to prevent Plankton and the inmates from escaping, but they do eventually manage to successfully escape and head to the Krusty Krab to steal the secret formula. SpongeBob notices that Plankton and the inmates are preparing to invade the Krusty Krab and Mr. Krabs says that they're ready for them. The inmates manage to successfully break into the restaurant by using the whale inmate as a battering ram. The whale inmate opens the safe and Plankton, who is ignoring Mr. Krabs' warnings to not get it, heads towards the "formula". The curtain falls down and the entire Bikini Bottom Police Force emerges, with Mr. Krabs revealing that he knew that Plankton was going to steal the formula and had enough time to put the Bikini Bottom Police Force in his safe. Plankton and the inmates are then arrested and taken back to jail.
