History[]
One Good Scare Ought to Do It![]
Professor Destructicon started out as a villain being a major threat to the O.W.C.A. agency, even way before he took a young Doofenshmirtz into his inner circle due the latter's tragic childhood by the hands of his abusive parents.
Despite being Doofenshmirtz's mentor, Professor Destructicon happens to be even more incompetent and dimwitted than his student. Before he was arrested (the reason behind his arrest remains unknown), Destructicon attempted to complete his grand scheme of setting fire to the sun. When he asked Doofenshmirtz to do the job for him, Doofenshmirtz showed some actual common sense on this by explaining that the sun is just a big ball of fire and the entire plan is completely redundant. Realizing that Doofenshmirtz is right, Destructicon asks him to blow up his evil lair located on a tiny island instead. Though Doofenshmirtz's nemesis Perry the Platypus manages to foil his attempt to blow Destructicon's lair, Doofenshmirtz manages to escape away by throwing off the bomb (which was supposed to blow up the lair) off his plane, forcing an angry Perry to let him go, seeing that he has failed to defeat Doofenshmirtz for the first time. As such, Destructicon's lair remains untouched.
Rollercoaster: The Musical![]
Destruction made a cameo appearance as he is seen dancing with The Regurgitator in their prison cell during the final number.
Trivia[]
- According to staff writer Jon Colton Barry, Destructicon was originally going to appear in a potential Phineas and Ferb theatrical movie, presumably as the main antagonist. It was going to be revealed that Destruction started out as an O.W.C.A. agent and the old partner of a young Francis Monogram (who currently serves as Perry's superior). It was also going to be revealed that Destructicon betrayed Monogram by trying to sabotage O.W.C.A.'s animal agent program, which led him to sever his ties with the agency and become an evil supervillain while taking a young Doofenshmirtz under his wing. However, the ideas for the movie were not brought to attention and were shelved.
