Professor Tonda is a human scientist working for the Neo-Guild organization and an antagonist in episode 16 of Tokusou Robo Janperson.
He is portrayed by Chuukou Ueda.
Biography[]
Professor Tonda invented the R3 and programmed it with a personality, believing that a robot capable of willpower would be more than enough to overcome and defeat Janperson. After the R3 was completed, Tonda and George Makabe sent it out to fight Janperson only for Janperson to smack it on the head and cause it to shift to the personality of Florence Nightengale. Seeing that R3 was malfunctioning, Tonda had two GuilBlackers smack it with an electric battering ram, but this only caused it to shift to a different personality - Count Dracula. Janperson then smacked R3 again and caused it to revert to the personality of a child, nicknamed "San-chan", and go off to play with other children.
With the R3 lost, Tonda attempted to take out Janperson himself using the battering ram. While he was facing Janperson however, the R3 came onto the scene again and Tonda ordered his goons to smack it with the battering ram several more times until it reverted to normal. However, this only caused the R3 to overload from the amount of his personalities he went through and ask Janperson who he was, to which Janperson stated he was "San-chan" right before R3 deactivated. Janperson then went to arrest Tonda, but his original programming as the MX-A1 came out and compelled him to kill the professor. Janperson managed to resist the programming and turned away, but this bought Tonda a chance to run off, only for him to be caught and arrested by the police as he was attempting to flee.
