Project Gestalt, formerly known as Mag Agent: Gestalt, is the secondary antagonist of the Madness: Project Nexus video game duology, based on the Madness Combat flash series. He is a cybernetically augmented, armored, magnified Abomination and later the vessel of Director Phobos. He first appears as a minor antagonist in Episode 1.5 of Madness: Project Nexus (Classic), and the secondary antagonist of the sequel MADNESS: Project Nexus.

Biography[]

Madness: Project Nexus (Classic)[]

Gestalt does not carry any weapons and fights using punches or by body slamming his foes. He is assisted by other Abominations in the fight and is apparently an enemy to the Nexus Core Agents. Like Mag Agent: N, Gestalt is defeated by shooting at him until he collapses. Gestalt's armor can be damaged by firearms and melee attacks alike. When either his body or head armor part is destroyed enough he will be capable of being damaged. Once defeated, the Agents and Abominations will stop swarming into the room, allowing the player to proceed to the final room of the stage.

MADNESS: Project Nexus[]

Gestalt was somehow revived and reappears as one of the primary antagonists of the game. He has a far bigger role, and serves as the game's primary antagonist for the most part. Several times he is chases for Hank, Sanford, Deimos and Cristoff, but unsuccessful. He also gets a new set of armor that makes him nearly invincible.

In the final level, The Rush, it is revealed that Gestalt is actually controlled by Director Phobos, the main antagonist of an entire series.

Abilities[]

Gestalt is a large body created from many numbers of S-3LF. In MPN (Classic), he is only able to smash enemies with his body and hands and not dealing very much damage, while in MPN, Gestalt became stronger, more durable and his size grew with every encounter and in the last level Gestalt was much more bigger. In the final battle, he can summon tentacles to grab enemies and has enough physical strength to destroy the building with simple punches on the walls. Most terrifying of his powers is a very big ray of clear energy fired from his mouth. Gestalt can also launch energy missiles from his hands and even huge meteors from both of his hands and maw. Gestalt shows the pyrokinetic ability, when he floods areas of the floor with a blue fire. Later Gestalt gained a new advantage, a pair of gigantic wings, which help him fly and manage to develop great speed.

Gestalt is completely invincible; no weapon can damage him, and even huge explosions and a giant press can't hurt him in the earlier and more weaker form. However, a long battle and extracting S3-LF weakened him, making him vulnerable to really powerful explosives.

Trivia[]

  • His name means "form" or "figure" in German.
  • According to Krinkels, Gestalt is completely sapient but has way too many thoughts in his head, causing his animal-like behavior.
  • S-3LF can theoretically infinitely increase Gestalt's power and size.
