Mercy, along with Truth, is one of the main villains of the Halo series. During the course of Halo 2, in the Covenant capital High Charity, He and his fellow prophets sentence an Elite named Thel Vadam, later known as the Arbiter, to death, but give him another chance by turning him into the Arbiter and sent him to a mining planet to destroy a group of Elites and Grunts who betrayed the Covenant known as the Heretics led by an Elite named [[Sesa Refumee]]. The Arbiter kills Refumee and returns to High Charity with an AI created by the Forerunners named [[343 Guilty Spark]], who was in the care of Refumee and the Heretics since the destruction of Installation 04. In High Charity, Guilty Spark reveals secret information about the Halo rings to Mercy and the other Prophets and they could use them to destroy [[The Flood]]. |
