The unnamed protagonist is the main protagonist of the Kindergarten series.
Biography[]
Kindergarten[]
With how the game is put together, you can be either heroic or bad depending on the choices made. The endings you reach are determined by who you choose to help. For instance, you can serve as Cindy's boyfriend where she will have you bully Lily to the point of her committing suicide.
If you go in with a certain amount of money, Buggs will bully you into giving him some. After that, you can tell Ms. Applegate who will offer to help you if you get Buggs to pick a fight with you. Upon doing so, Ms. Applegate sends Buggs to the Principal's office and then offers to reward you in getting rid of the other students. Accept and you proceed to push Cindy by rejecting the proposal to be her boyfriend, prompting her to accuse you of raping her (she doesn't actually know what rape is), which gets both of you sent to the principal's office and Buggs gets off the hook. Of course, as you are able to provide proof, you are let go while Cindy is forced to stay (and presumably be killed). After which, you uncover a hall pass stolen by Jerome and report it to Ms. Applegate, allowing her to send him away.
At lunch time, you can tell The Janitor that Monty corrected his spelling enraging him enough to viciously assault Monty. After that, you befriend Nugget by fulfilling his request to poison Buggs and then alert the Principal about Lily spying on him allowing him to get rid of her.
At recess, it is just you and Nugget left. As you are now friends with Nugget, he lets you into the nugget cave where you find the corpse of Cindy's dog. Upon reporting this to Ms. Applegate, she confronts Nugget about it only to accidentally push him to his death. With all the other students dead, Ms. Applegate lets you go home early and gives you a pass to have lunch with her while she leaves feeling satisfied.
In Buggs's story, after having you money stolen, you can refuse Applegate offer to rat on Buggs, prompting her to get revenge against you. Buggs, grateful you stood up for him, offers to help get rid of Applegate. You sneak a firecracker under Applegate's desk and then use her lunch pass to have lunch with her. There, she gives you a kid's meal (which she poisoned), but you detonate the firecracker to distract her and then stab her from behind. With Applegate dead, you and Buggs hide the evidence to ensure the Principal doesn't find out it was you.
Kindergarten 2[]
Much like with the first game, what happens at the school depends on your actions.
Personality[]
The protagonist's personality is mostly dependent on the players actions, though it can be implied by how he speaks and acts. Compared to his classmates and teachers, not much stands out about him, making him the normal guy. He doesn't speak more than necessary and never shows extreme emotion, even when watching a gruesome death unfold. In the second game, he seems completely unfazed by the horrifying events of the previous game. He is likely used to bizarre scenarios given his classmates. The only time he is seen reacting is when faced with his own death or watching Mrs. Applegate kiss Bob.
Though lacking in academic intelligence (reasonably, given his age), he is very crafty and methodical, being able to devise plans quite easily. While his craftiness is somewhat reliant on the player and other characters telling him what to do, he is still an adept genius when he needs to be. He is fully aware of how adult relationships work shown by how he interacts with Cindy. He is even self-aware, shown by he disagrees with the player when they try to force Agnes's cat into the microwave.
Like many kids his age, he is interested in collecting battle cards and trading them. In his room, he collects what appears to be smash posters. He is also unable to read, like most of his classmates.
Trivia[]
- While the student you play as is supposed to represent you, they will show to be disgusted with you if you force them to microwave a living cat, and end the day early if you do so.
- Due to the fact that certain paths can't be done until other paths have been completed, it is possible that your character has the ability to reset time.
