The Protagonist is the playable character of the 2018 Roblox game Westbound. They are either a lawman trying to keep the peace in 1894 Tumbleweed County or a murderous criminal causing as much havoc as possible.
Biography[]
Sometime in 1894, the protagonist arrives in Tumbleweed County, Arizona. They begin their journey with little more than some cheap clothes, a Colt .45, and a shank. The player chooses the path of the outlaw. Realizing they need to begin amassing a large fortune to survive in the dangerous, open plains of the desert, they start doing petty work such as looting cash registers and robbing travelers.
Eventually, the protagonist sets their eyes on the bank of the county capital, which is also called Tumbleweed. They rig an explosive to the bank's back wall, and burst in to loot all of the vaults. Before long, lawmen respond to the situation, but the protagonist gets away with the money and flees.
Because Tumbleweed is too dangerous to return to, the protagonist wanders to one of the two other in-game towns, Stone Creek or Grayridge. They start up a crime spree in the area, eventually scoring the settlement's bank as well. Around this time, they also pick up legal means of making money, such as mining, hunting, and bounty hunting.
As the West becomes increasingly gentrified, a train carrying precious gold bars and other loot begins to pass through Tumbleweed County. The protagonist decides to rob the locomotive, making use of dynamite to blow open the valuables compartment and steal the gold inside.
After this, it is not known what becomes of the protagonist, though it can be assumed they continue to rob and murder their way across the county as they have reached their goal of becoming a rich and skilled gunslinger.
