The protagonist is the main protagonist in the Mat Dickie's 2021 game Wrestling Empire. Depending on the player's choice, the player can be either heroic or villainous, by choosing "Face" or "Heel", however the player does not need these ranks to make their choice. The protagonists name, age, and appearance, can be altered based off of any of the in-game characters seen in the Wrestling Empire Roster.
In-game lore[]
The Protagonist's personality can be chosen by the player, however some playable characters start out more heroic, such as Coach Emerson, whereas some start out more villainous, such as Lance Monaco. The player assaults other NPCs, regardless of being heel or face, if they choose to be a wrestler. The player can choose between hundreds of different characters, and can edit their own and other characters in the game, allowing vast customability.
The protagonist automatically starts working for Wrestling School, under the management of Coach Emerson. They can after then get a job at any of the Wrestling Brands, which include:
- All American Wrestling, an American wrestling brand.
- Federation Online, a WWE-Inspired wrestling brand.
- Hollywood, the wrestling Hall of Fame.
- Rising Sun Puroresu, a Japanese wrestling brand.
- Strong Style Wrestling, an intense wrestling brand.
- Super Lucha Libre, a Mexican wrestling brand.
- Maple Leaf Grappling, a Canadian wrestling brand.
- Weekend Warriors, a UFC-Inspired wrestling brand.
- Wrestling Revolution, the original wrestling brand.
The protagonist may be fired from a brand and sent back to Wrestling School, if they do not meet expectations. If the protagonist dies, the game ends, and can be reset, and you can refresh the roster or leave it the same.
