The Psyma Family were an extremely powerful family of Demon-like creatures who utilised the very powerful Minus Energy and served as the main antagonists of Kyuukyuu Sentai GoGoFive
Family History[]
Past[]
Grandiene formed from Minus Energy four billion years ago, the embodiment of an evil power that existed since the universe began. Wishing to reshape the universe into a wasteland for her to rule over, Grandiene gave birth to several children with the first being Darkness King Gill. However, he attempted to kill her so she discarded him into Hell although his actions led to her becoming paranoid of her children betraying her so she always planned to kill them once she no longer needed them. After Gil, Grandiene had four more children; Zylpheeza, Denus, Cobolda and the infant Drop who would serve as her generals alongside the butler and monster creator Pierre in a war to conquer humanity. However, they were defeated and Grandiene was banished as Minus Energy so, lacking the power and leadership to accomplish their goal, the Psyma Family went into hiding for billions of years until they could find a way to save her.
GoGoV[]
Eventually, in 1999, the time of the Grand Cross ceremony draws near so the Psyma Family re-emerge and send Magma Golem. However, five siblings become the Kyuukyuu Sentai GoGoFive and destroy it so Zylpheeza sends Tornedeus whilst revealing the Psyma Family's existence to the Sentai only for this plan to fail. After many defeats, Chanbaano's smog manages to revive Grandiene but she still requires the Grand Cross ceremony to return so she revives Magma Golem and Hellgerus as Golem Psyma Beasts before going into hiding. When GoGoV kill them with the new Grand Liner, Zylpheeza unleashes his three most powerful Psyma Beasts: Zoodo, Jiin and Guuru the Hades Demon Warriors. Although they easily decimate GoGoV during their first encounter, they are swiftly killed off with help from the new Liner Boy to Zylpheeza merges them together into Chimera. Once they are killed by the V-Mode Braces, he grows giant and decimates Grand Liner and Victory Robo until it merges with Liner Boy to form Max Victory Robo and kill Zylpheeza with the Max Nova.
Despite his death, his Dark King Power goes to Drop who later evolves into Salamandes who immediately takes control of the Psyma Family. It is under his leadership that the Grand Cross ceremony arrives and Halleluyan succeeds in reviving Grandiene but the ceremony's interruption and his death leaves Grandiene trapped in a less powerful, pillar-like form. Eventually, Salamandes unleashes one of the Psyma Family's greatest weapons; the Infinity Chain Card which can absorb and scan attacks which make the next wearer immune to them. Although die to give Lizardes immunity to the GoGoV's weapons, they destroy him and the Infinity Chain Card by throwing him into the Sun which makes him fall out of favour with Grandiene. Determined to prove himself worthy, Salamandes traps GoGoV and himself in Ghost Psyma Hell but they escape and he ends up trapped there with Grandiene unwilling to help a failure. With Pierre's help, he evolves into Ghost King Salamandes and returns to the surface where he decimates the mecha. When his connection is severed though, he loses all power and is easily killed by Victory Mars' Mars Flare and Max Victory Robo's Max Nova; permanently destroying the Dark King Star in the process.
Running out of generals, Grandiene channels her Minus Energy to gain a proper physical form even as Denus gives her life to resurrect Zylpheeza only to then force him to kill Cobolda in an attempt on GoGoV. Enraged at the betrayal, Zylpheeza tells Matoi how to save the others from Grandiene's fire even as he succumbs to it himself; allowing the Ranger to seemingly kill Grandiene and rescue his siblings. Although Grandiene returns as a giant and defeats Victory Robo, they seemingly kill her for good with Max Victory Robo's Max Nova but her soul survives as Minus Energy which manifests to Pierre for her final plan. Using his magic, they resurrect Salamandes and a mindless zombie-like Zylpheeza with her destroying their souls after both are killed and turning them into gigantic Destruction Gods which completely destroy or cripple all of GoGoV's Giant Robos. She then possesses them to destroy Tokyo herself but then Max Victory Robo Black Version appears which is much stronger than her and kills the Destruction Gods. With no vessel left to sustain her, Grandiene is killed by a direct exposure to Plus Energy which puts an end to the Psyma Family.
Timeranger[]
A year after the end of the Psyma Family, it is revealed that Pierre is still alive after last being seen getting slammed into a shop front by Grandiene's explosion. However, he is trapped in the form of a small fly but is able to return to normal thanks to the explosion of Nova on June 25th, 2000. After four months of hiding, he re-emerges on October 20th, 2000 during the battle between Boribaru and the latest Super Sentai team; Mirai Sentai Timeranger. He infuses the Londerz Prisoner with Minus Energy which makes the Timerangers' weapons useless before teaming up with the Londerz Family to get revenge on the Super Sentai. However, an army of Minus Energy infused Londerz Prisoners are defeated when GoGoV and the Timerangers team-up so Don Dolnero abandons Pierre. Desperate, Pierre and Boribaru merge together to form BoriPierre which defeats TimeRobo Alpha and Time Shadow Battle Mode but both are no match against BoriPierre until Victory Robo is brought to the present. With TimeRobo Alpha riding the V-Rex and infusing the Time-Space Sword with GoGoV's rescue spirits, they manage to defeat Bori-Pierre with the Pressure Prominence. Whilst Boribaru is Freeze Compressed, Pierre's soul is destroyed by the direct exposure to Plus Energy; putting a permanent end to the Psyma Family.

After the end of the Londerz Family, the Timerangers embark on a journey to understand the previous Sentai teams by using the TimeJets to revisit thier battles. They arrive in the time of GoGoV where the Timerangers recall meeting them and the Psyma Family as a whole is mentioned by Tock as having been defeated by GoGoV.

Zylpheeza, Denus and Cobolda are among the villains recalled by the narrator as a being that threatened the Earth only to be defeated by the various Sentai. Thanatos and Spartan are also recalled by Miku of the Megarangers and Domon to Sae Taiga and Kai Samezu of the Gaorangers during speeches about the past fights that other Sentai have had after Lost Highness Duke Rakushaasa makes them lose hope.
