Biography[]

When Angel Grove High hosts a food festival, Rita Repulsa sees an opportunity to both ruin the event and destroy the Earth's food supply so she has Finster create the Pudgy Pig. The creature has an insatiable hunger that can never be satisfied and he can eat just about anything whether it is traditionally edible or not aside from spicy food as that will make him violently puke up everything he eats and leaves him helplessly weak. When sent to Earth, he immediately begins eating everything from picnic baskets to bins filled with leftover food before attacking the Food Festival at the Youth Center. Once there, he destroys everything he sees before heading into the City where he rests on a rooftop until the Power Rangers catch up to him. Despite being heavily outnumbered though, the Pudgy Pig completely decimates them and eats the Power Weapons before sending them away using a vortex but this allows them to discover his weakness by seeing that he avoided the Mexican food sections. Collecting as much as they can, the Rangers once again confront the Pudgy Pig at a construction site where they tempt him with more food but but feed him a sandwich filled with a spicy radish. Exposed to spicy foods, the Pudgy Pig ends up spewing out everything he has eaten including the Power Weapons whilst his sides collapse and he becomes critically weak. Powerless, the Pudgy Pig is easily cut down by Jason with his Power Sword and destroyed by the Power Blaster. Due to the Pudgy Pig being so weak, Rita does not enlarge him.

After Mutitus and Lokar trap the Power Rangers on the Island of Illusions, five monsters appear to attack them which includes the Pudgy Pig but they vanish before reaching the Rangers.

Much later, Rita sees that Bulk has bought a pig named Norman and decides to turn it into the Pudgy Pig to serve as a distraction whilst Goldar destroys Angel Grove. Although the transformation is successful, Norman is not brainwashed and instead remains a normal if mutated pig so the Rangers leave him with a sow to stop Goldar. After Goldar is defeated, Billy uses a device to return Norman to normal and he is given back to Bulk.

When Zordon announces the arrival of Lord Zedd and that he can create stronger monsters than Rita and Finster, Zack states that he gets the feeling that they will be worse than the Pudgy Pig.

When the Power Rangers appear on Harvey Garvey's talk-show, they recount several of thier past battles which includes that of the original Pudgy Pig.

Turbo[]

A lot of people see monsters on this very spot. If we wait just a few minutes, we might just see one of Angel Grove's most famous monsters. Who could it be? Pudgy Pig? Eye Guy? The Peckster?
~ Bulk.

Although the Pudgy Pig does not appear in person, he is mentioned as "one of Angel Grove's most famous monsters" by Bulk during thier Monster Tour job as they list off various monsters that could be hiding near Angel Grove Lake.

Personality[]

The first Pudgy Pig was a ravenous and unsympathetic monster with a massive appetite. The second Pudgy Pig was actually just a friendly pig that was transformed, sharing only gluttonous appetite of the first, yet returns to normal.

Powers and Abilities[]

  • Strength: Despite his comical aptitude, the Pudgy Pig possessed a formidable amount of strength, capable of taking the Rangers with single slashes of his trotters to each of them.
  • Durability: The Pudgy Pig was mostly unfazed by the Power Weapons within him didn't injure him and it took jump strikes from all five of the Power Weapons just to knock him down.
  • Unlimited Appetite: The Pudgy Pig was always hungry and ready to eat anything.
  • Consumption: The Pudgy Pig could eat anything, including a bin and the Power Weapons.
  • Whirling Vortex: The Pudgy Pig could fire a white vortex from his nostrils that can demorph the Rangers and send them back to the Youth Center.
  • Inhale: The Pudgy Pig could inhale the Power Weapons in order to bring the Rangers closer to him, and then eat them.

Weaknesses[]

  • Spicy Food: The Pudgy Pig could eat anything except for spicy foods due to having a colossally weak stomach that made him vomit up his meals and collapsed his sides inwards to crippling effect.

Arsenal[]

  • Trotters: The Pudgy Pig had razor sharp trotters sharp enough to use in combat to slash his enemies with.

Trivia[]

  • To this day, Pudgy Pig is without a doubt the most well known monster in the whole franchise.
