Puffball is a contestant in the YouTube animated web series, Battle for Dream Island. She first appeared as a contestant in the second season, Battle for Dream Island Again, and later appeared in Battle for BFDI and The Power of Two, serving as a supporting character turned minor antagonist in BFDIA, a supporting character in BFB, and a supporting antagonist in TPOT.
She is voiced by the series co-creator Michael Huang, who also voiced Four, Flower, Blocky, Pencil, and Golf Ball.
Appearance[]
Puffball is a limbless light pink puffball, with a darker pink shading on her outlines. She talks in a vocoded voice whenever she speaks. Anytime she speaks, her color changes rapidly and sparkles. Puffball can also change her size and fly.
Personality[]
Puffball proclaims that she is a nice person, and is shown to be cool-hearted and calm at first. However in "The Long-lost Yoyle City", Puffball is shown to be selfish as she betrays her entire team just so she can win the prize. In addition, this is also seen when she helps Stapy cheat in "Questions Answered". Puffball also appears to be arrogant, as she is says that Grassy is "basic". Puffball also seems to have no quails using other contestants and risking their lives in order to win, such as using Ice Cube to force Death P.A.C.T. Again to either kill the Funny Plant to save her life or save the flower but let her die, which shows her more evil side. The tune of Puffball's voice is determinant by her mood.
Despite being arrogant, Puffball seems to care about her teammates such as when she saved Foldy and Bell from Spongy's cannonball attacks, recovering Gelatin, and used Fries to catch the rest of her team in "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything, Right?".
Puffball is desperate to positive attention and gratification, and gets jealous towards others for taking her credit.
Biography[]
Battle for Dream Island Again[]
Puffball first appears in "Yeah, Who? I Wanna Know". Originally, she was not going to appear but since Leafy, Bubble, and Flower were disqualified, she was allowed in placing 20th. After Gelatin asks who the host would be, she keeps repeating "Yeah, who? I wanna know!" as a song. After Donut complains about his team being smaller, she says that they'll be equal when one newbie switches to the other team.
In "Get Digging", when Firey remarks that it would take months of walking to get to Yoyleland, Golf Ball says that it could only take days if the fly, confusing Firey, Puffball gets angry and grows near him which causing Firey to accidently set her on fire (though it does not kill her). Puffball is the ordered by Golf Ball to go to Yoyleland.
In "Insectophobe's Nightmare 3", she received the most likes with 387, which gets her a personal speaker box. Puffball does not react well when Pencil called her "Puffy" but refused to do so due to being "nice".
In "Get in the Van", she wins the prize again with 424 likes, this time her prize was the removal of another contestants limbs. Despite being reluctant to do so, she chooses Pin. Puffball promises not to switch from Team No-Name. During the challenge, she carries her team to Yoyle Mountain.
In "No More Snow!", Puffball is woken up by a cloud raining basketballs, and is later asked by Fries where the rest of the team was. When Fries talked about what happen to Firey and Gelatin, Puffball says they were probably eaten by Evil Leafy.
In "It's a Monster", Puffball is recovered by the W.O.A.H. Bunch, who tried to threatened her, by calling her Puffy to fly to Yoyle Mountain. The plan failed since Puffball ordered Gelatin to freeze the W.O.A.H. Bunch. After this, she continues flying.
In "The Long-Lost Yoyle City", Puffball is criticized by Golf Ball and Gelatin by flying through Davidland. When she reaches the summit, she sabotages her team just so she can win a prize, which causes her teammates to fall off and get eaten by a fish monster.
In "Well Rested" (released 10 years after "The Long-Lost Yoyle City" and many years after Puffball's fate was known), Puffball is seen flying around, confident she will win the prize, only to be angered that the prize went to Firey instead. She attempts to crash into Firey via meteor attack, but Firey wins a meteor shield to bounce her away. As the votes are revealed, Puffball is eliminated, and she crashes back to Earth into the TLC/LOL.
IDFB[]
While Puffball does not physically appear in IDFB aside from the voting screen, Ruby mentioned that she got eliminated in the at the time offscreen BFDIA 6 with 1,455 dislikes, thus foiling her plan to win prizes by losing.
Battle for BFDI[]
Sometime prior to BFB, Puffball, along with the other eliminated contestants, escaped the Tiny Loser Chamber and Locker of Losers, presumably due to the portal gun from IDFB being used for everyone offscreen.
In "Getting Teardrop to Talk", Puffball helps Gelatin build a large stack of forks. Puffball joins Free Food alongside with Fries. She then helps their team win the challenge of bringing the baskets to X thanks to her flight.
In "Why Would You Do This on a Swingset", Puffball spins the swing around the center, allowing Free Food to win safety and avoid elimination.
In "Fortunate Ben", Puffball's flying abilities are disabled by Four with duct tape, at Fries request since Four would've obliterated her, due to flying being restricted in the paper airplane challenge.
In "Questions Answered", Stapy takes off her bandages when he used them to make a fake buzzer box in order to cheat. The plan was backfired after Match showed proof of them cheating, leading to their team's elimination.
In "This Episode is About Basketball", she is in the final 2, but is safe with 3,389 votes.
In "What Do You Think of Roleplay", she has her mind in Basketball, and her body is under Rocky's control.
In "The Four is Lava", when she reaches Earth, she is confronted by Spongy, ordering him to stop, but Spongy refuses. When Blocky launches from a tree in order to get to her, she aggressively tries to shake him off. When Foldy kicks Blocky off her only for it to be backfired by the latter, Puffball flings Blocky off by flying at a high speed and saves Foldy from the lava.
In "The Escape from Four", she quits BFB when the prize changes and switches to TPOT.
Battle for Dream Island: The Power of Two[]
In "You Know Those Buttons Don't Do Anything Right?", Puffball is informed that Four brought back the original BFDI as a prize, but agrees that switching back is not worth it. During the contest, since Puffball grabs Fries with her mouth and uses him to catch her teammates, her team is the first one safe.
In "Getting Puffball To Think About Rollercoasters", she, alongside with the rest of Are You Okay? down to Golf Ball's Underground Factory, Golf Ball introduces the Brain Wave. Golf Ball places her new invention on Puffball and Golf Ball warns her not to think about bad things as it can make the rollercoaster dangerous. After the rest of the team praises TV for his tutorial, Puffball gets jealous and inspires her to make a more chaotic hoping it can make other contestants appreciate her more. Puffball is then met with frustration with her teammates, and Golf Ball says she ruined their rollercoaster. Despite this, Two gives the rollercoaster a 5/10.
In "Gardening Zero", when Eraser asks Tennis Ball about Golf Ball, Puffball wants to join the team, but due to the events of the previous episode, Tennis Ball excludes her. She later confesses with Lightning and Ice Cube about their teams abandoning them. She later decides to "help" Lightning's team win, which causes Lightning to zap her numerous times before she decides to use Bell in order to get to the jungle. Puffball later says that she will kill the Funny Plant to make Death P.A.C.T. Again lose. After the team says that it would be impossible to get to their plant, she simply flies over the wall. When Puffball is about to eat the funny plant, she's reminded that her team will lose if she kills any funny plant. To get around this, Puffball returns home, gets Ice Cube and forces her to get in the ground so the Funny Plant absorbs her water, which causes her to shrink, which forces Death P.A.C.T. Again to cut their plant and makes their team up for elimination.
Puffball is once again, excluded by Are You Okay in "Fishes and Dishes", to the point were Fries gets mad and assists her on everything she does. Puffball and Fries also go after Just Not, and attacks Nickel after being ordered by Fries. Puffball and Fries attempts to sabotage the rest of Just Not, but fails as Pillow throws Price Tag onto Fries (despite Pillow using Just Not members to reach her goals further). Puffball later discusses with Pillow on how she is not using gravity, but Pillow escapes her by allowing gravity to get the plates.

Trivia[]
- Puffball was the first contestant to be eliminated with more than 1,000 votes.
- A running gag revolving around her is that if somebody comments that nobody is able to fly and if Puffball happens to be on their them, she appears behind them, slowly enlarging in size and gets angry.
- According to the Official Character Guide, one of Puffball's wishes is to disable her ability to fly and gain limbs, even just for a day.
