	~ The Pumpkin Rapper's first (and most famous) lines as he awakens and comments on how awful the Rangers' raps are.

The Pumpkin Rapper was the Jack O'Lantern-themed monster of the Evil Space Aliens under Rita Repulsa and a minor antagonist in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and the Power Rangers franchise as a whole. He served as the main antagonist of the episode "Trick or Treat", a major antagonist in the episode "Zedd's Monster Mash", and a minor antagonist in the two-part Power Rangers In Space series finale "Countdown to Destruction."

He was voiced by Michael Sorich who previously voiced Squatt and the Polluticorn and later voiced the Crabby Cabbie; all in MMPR. He later voiced Wrecking Ball and Tough Tusks in Power Rangers Zeo, Shrinkasect and Voltmeister in Power Rangers Turbo, Elephantitan and the Crocotoxes in Power Rangers In Space, Quakemaker, Teksa and Hardtochoke in Power Rangers Lost Galaxy, Triskull, Birdbane and the Gatekeeper in Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue, Brickneck in Power Rangers Time Force and Camera Org, Artilla and Locomotive Org in Power Rangers Wild Force. Outside of Power Rangers, he is most well known as Zudomon in Digimon Tamers and Vikaralamon in Digimon Adventure 02.

Personality

True to the Pumpkin Rapper's namesake, he was a rapping pumpkin monster that always sung in a rap-like tone. Overall, his personality was similar to that of a DJ, always rapping and ready for action.

Biography

Two weeks before Halloween 1993, the Pumpkin Rapper is planted by Squatt and Baboo with the ultimate mission of destroying the Power Rangers. Resembling an orange humanoid with an upside-down jack-o-lantern on its head, the Pumpkin Rapper speaks almost exclusively mainly in rhymes and rap tone (although one line was spoken in a non-rhyming tone). The Pumpkin Rapper is woken up by the Rangers' really bad rap and attacks them with pumpkin headed Putty Patrollers. Once they are easily defeated, the Pumpkin Rapper attacks the Rangers with vines and tries to tie them with vines and drain their energy. Despite his vine tentacles and pumpkin bombs, the Pumpkin Rapper is taken down by the Power Blaster.

Because the Pumpkin Rapper happens to be one of Lord Zedd's favourite monsters, he is one of the first resurrected alongside the Robogoat by Doomstone as part of a Halloween plot to kill Tommy in Zedd's Haunted Forest. He initially fights Tommy but stays on the sidelines to rap commentary as the Rangers fight and defeat the Robogoat, Primator, Rhinoblaster, the Invenusable Flytrap. With the Pumpkin Rapper the last monster standing, Zedd uses a growth bomb to enlarge him which takes both him and the Rangers out of the Haunted Forest. Although he has the upper-hand against the White Tigerzord and Thunder Megazord with his pumpkin bombs, he is punched down by the White Tigerzord and destroyed by the Thunder Megazord's Thunder Saber.

In Space

Four years later, the Pumpkin Rapper joins the Evil Space Aliens' army which attacks the Vica Galaxy and the Phantom Ranger's home-world. Due to sheer numbers, the army is able to defeat Trey of Triforia and conquer the galaxy but they are all turned to dust by Zordon's Energy Wave.

Powers and Abilities

• Strength: The Pumpkin Rapper was able to easily overpower all five Rangers with ease.
• Pumpkin Headed Putty Summing: The Pumpkin Rapper could summon an army of Putties with pumpkins on their heads to aid him in battle.
• Eye Energy Rings: The Pumpkin Rapper could fire light pink coloured energy rings from his eye. They caised large explosions but failed to faze Tommy.
• Pumpkin Bombs: The Pumpkin Rapper could summon and throw mini pumpkin bombs at foes from his hands. Two of them took down the Thunder Megazord.

Arsenal

• Fists: The Pumpkin Rapper mainly used his bare hands in combat.
• Vine Tentacles: The Pumpkin Rapper possessed a long dark green vine that can whip off the enemies' weapons.
• Flower Vine: The Pumpkin Rapper could conker a long flower vine that could ensnare opponents with vines.
  • Pumpkin Shock: The Pumpkin Rapper could also smack his vine and use it to fry anyone tied up in the vine.

Trivia

• The Pumpkin Rapper is the very first monster in the franchise to return as an actual threat to the Rangers.
  • Although the Pudgy Pig is technically the very first monster monster to make a return appearance, the 2nd version was merely hungry and not evil who posed a minimal threat to the Rangers, being overshadowed by Goldar.
• The Pumpkin Rapper cam from what is commonly referred to as "Zyu2" footage, and was not seen in the original Zyuranger.
