The Pumpkin Sorcerer is the pumpkin and witch-themed monster of the Machine Empire serving Prince Sprocket and a very minor antagonist in the Power Rangers Zeo episode "Invasion of the Ranger Snatchers."
Biography[]
Unlike many other monsters, the Pumpkin Sorcerer was originally a lifeless monster suit designed for a monster B-movie dubbed "Invasion Of Blueface" which is based loosely on the Zeo Rangers' fight against the Machine Empire. The Pumpkin Sorcerer is first seen fighting the movie's main character played by Biff Starr where the suit actor ends up blocking Biff's punch which is not part of the script and the main stuntman quits due to Biff's self-entitlement. Inspired by the movie, Prince Sprocket decides to shoot his own movie but use it to destroy the Zeo Rangers and render the Earth defenceless. Instead of using pre-built monsters of the Machine Empire though, since Sprocket thinks that using any other monsters will make his movie less impressive, he decides to steal the monster suits from the movie set.
The Cogs succeed, taking the Pumpkin Sorcerer suit along with three others and luring the Zeo Rangers into a massive Cog battle where they are captured by the Video Vulture. Whilst the Rangers are trapped, the suits are animated as sentient monsters for use in the Prince's film. Later, after the Zeo Rangers escape from Sprocket's movie by saving people from a doomed bus, Sprocket sends all four monsters to confront the Rangers to create a new climax for his movie. They easily overwhelm the heroes; the Pumpkin Sorcerer combining his energy blasts with its allies to blast them down before all four monsters merge into Bucket of Bolts. However, although the monster is formidable, he is swiftly destroyed by the Zeo Megazord and takes the Pumpkin Sorcerer down with him.

After Prince Sprocket complains about Punch-A-Bunch damaging himself during battle against the Zeo Rangers, Boohoo the Clown is indirectly referenced along with all previous monsters used up to that point when Machina reassures her distraught son that the Rangers have ruined all of their monsters.
Personality[]
Due to his very limited screen-time, and the fact that he never spoke, the Pumpkin Sorcerer's personality is largely unknown but he was shown to be loyal to Sprocket and willing to kill the Zeo Rangers.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Sight: The Pumpkin Sorcerer could see despite not having eyes.
- Eye Blasts: The Pumpkin Sorcerer could spray orange energy from his eyes that, when combined with the other monsters' blasts, completely defeated the Zeo Rangers.
- Fusion: The Pumpkin Sorcerer was able to fuse with the other three monsters to form Bucket of Bolts.
Arsenal[]
- Broom: Although it never used it, the Pumpkin Sorcerer wielded a stereotypical witch's broom.
Trivia[]
- In Ohranger, the Pumpkin Sorcerer was far stronger and had more screen-time; even fighting Rocky and Adam at one point.
- This was cut both for time and because of the presence of Kat's unmorphed counterpart.
