The story of the stick figure Purple from the Animator vs. Animation series.
Background[]
Purple was created at an unknown point in time before 2011 by an unknown animator, for a Newgrounds animation alongside his parents: Pink and Dark Blue. In 2011, their home was raided by the Chosen One and the Dark Lord, forcing the family to run for their lives, presumably to the Outernet. Purple regularly trained with his father, although his mother was more protective of him and didn't want that; something Dark Blue hated, wanting his son to grow up into a fighter, not understanding he's hitting him too hard and being enraged whenever Pink comforted him after a fight. After Purple grew up into a teenager, his parents had another argument, during which Dark Blue finally had enough and left. Since then, Purple took care of Pink until she finally passed away. Reminding himself of his father, Purple makes it his life mission to find him and make him proud, although he never succeeds.
Eventually, under unknown circumstances, he would find his way onto a Macintosh computer, where he would become the king of a Minecraft village.

"The Nether"[]
In the episode, Blue and Green find out about the Nether and visit it, encountering many hostile mobs, but also discovering quartz, which they collect a large amount of. As they seek to return to the computer, they see Purple going through another portal and decide to follow.
"Villagers"[]
Green and Blue end up on Purple's computer. There, they discover an entire new Minecraft community run by villagers, with their buildings and homes adorned with purple coloring. The villagers grab them and take them to a great castle, where a crowned Purple is handing out quartz to thankful villagers. Blue and Green are brought before Purple, and they instantly try to show Purple that they are stick figures like he is, and even have quartz. The villagers are intrigued that someone besides Purple has this, and Blue and Green generously give some to the villagers. This angers Purple, who sees them as a threat to his rule. He commands his villagers to apprehend them and throw them in a dungeon.
The two try to break out using a pickaxe, but are thrown back in by a villager and an Iron Golem. However, they then proceed to bribe the villager with gold blocks to let them go. They are spotted by other villagers, but offer them gold and quartz blocks to trade for emeralds, which the villagers accept. The two begin introducing and trading various new kinds of blocks, attracting a crowd of buying villagers and drawing them away from Purple's castle. Purple notices the decrease in traffic and goes to investigate, seeing that Green and Blue are free and selling items to his servants.
Enraged, Purple pulls out a diamond sword and prepares to fight the newcomers soaking up the villagers' attention. However, before he can attack, the villagers go and use their new blocks to make the castle even bigger with a statue of Purple on top, proving that they remained loyal to their leader and are still grateful for all that he has done for them. Purple sees this and realizes the error of his ways, apologizing to Blue and Green by giving them their own crowns. Purple then leads Blue and Green to his End Portal and has them follow gun to the End, where he wants their help to kill the Ender Dragon.
"The End"[]
Purple, Green, and Blue arrive in the End and go to fight the Ender Dragon. The three work together to hook her with fishing hooks, then attack her. The dragon flies away, dragging the stick figures behind her to an End City, but as a result away from the crystals that are healing her; due to having nothing to heal, the crystals create a Dragon Egg, something Purple sees happen and takes an interest in, with there being evidence later on that he thought owning such a priced object would make Dark Blue proud.
When in the End City, the dragon throws the stick figures off herself and heads back to her home. Green and Blue find an End Ship and fly it after the dragon. Meanwhile, Purple discovers an Elytra in the ship's hold and equips it, allowing him to fly. Blue and Green try to catch the dragon again, but she attacks with her poison breath and destroys the ship. Purple goes to claim the egg, while Green and Blue are hit by a Shulker and given the levitation effect for ten seconds. They beg for help, and Purple ponders a moment - essentially being forced to choose between friendship and Dark Blue's approval - before deciding to leave them to die and go after the egg, stealing it and escaping into the End Portal. Green and Blue fall, but are caught by the Second Coming, Red, Yellow, and villagers who followed them to the End.
The stick figures and villagers return to the computer to find Purple reining with the Dragon Egg as a trophy. However, the angry dragon follows through the portal and begins attacking the community and castle, causing chaos. Purple realizes what he has done and returns the egg as it hatches, leaving the dragon and her newborn to leave and return to the End. Afterwards, the other stick figures shame Purple, and the villagers, angry about what Purple's actions have done to their town, grab Purple and take him away. The other stick figures return to the Nether to go home, but Yellow sees a series of other Nether portals.
As seen in later episodes, Purple would be exiled from his computer and forced to live in the Internet itself, where he would move into a town filled with stick figures.
Animation vs. League of Legends[]
The Stick Gang decides to play a game of League of Legends together on the Animator's computer. They wander throughout the game world until they come across Purple, who made his way into their computer to get revenge on them. Purple unleashes a series of high-powered clones of himself, which the others are unable to damage or defend against. The Second Coming realizes that Purple is cheating, and escapes the game to find the real Purple tampering with the game's files and code. The two battle and the Second Coming manages to destroy all of the hacked clone's files, destroying them. Enraged, Purple steals all of the player character data from the game and eats it, gaining all obtainable abilities in the game. Purple then tries to kill the Second Coming before returning to the game and attacking the others while riding a Baron Nashor.
Purple begins relentlessly destroying the other stick figures' turrets and ruthlessly beating them with magic. Purple and the Baron Nashor then begin attacking the Stick Gang's Nexus, only for them to realize the Second Coming has made it past their defenses and has almost destroyed theirs. Purple and the Baron Nashor rush to stop him, but the others slow the villains down enough for the Second Coming to destroy the Nexus and end the game.
As the Stick Gang celebrates their victory, they soon notice that Purple has wandered away, mournful and defeated. They take pity on him, and offer a chance for friendship. Purple agrees, and the Second Coming starts a new game with Purple as a team member. Purple is hesitant after all he has done to them, but realizes that they accept him for who he is. Purple redeems himself and plays one more match with the Stick Gang.

Backstory[]
Somewhere before the events of the season, a stick figure called simply King began putting up wanted posters for the Stick Gang. Purple finds one of those and meets the stick figure in person, where he proves he's useful with his Elytra. Inside King's house, the two enter his basement where they find a Nether portal. They enter it and ambush a bastion guarded by Piglin Brutes. King manages to convince the mobs to serve him by bribing them with gold. He then uses his staff, which has a command block equipped on it, to craft a throne before Purple gives his former crown to him, making him a real king. Somewhere afterwards, King Orange would start plotting a way to defeat the Stick Gang, with Purple joining him, with implications he either viewed the king as a father figure or believed he was the key to Dark Blue's approval, perhaps both.
"The Witch"[]
At the end of the episode, the Stick Gang and their pet pig walk through the forest to the Nether portal that they came from, but encounter Purple collecting flowers. Purple hugs the Second Coming and Green and waves to the rest of the gang. Overexcited, Purple leads them to another Nether portal. Still very excited, he enters the Nether portal, but the Second Coming refuses the rest to come in after the events of Season 1 and what they just went through. The gang tries to return home (with all but the Second Coming clearly sad) while Purple goes back to the forest to see what's taking them so long. Red turns his head to Purple's Nether portal and sees him sitting down next to it, depressed that his friends abandoned him. They all feel sorry for him and decide to follow the stick figure, although the Second Coming is still heavily reluctant. Purple, Green, Yellow and Blue all wave their hands in the same manner and run into the portal, with the Second Coming following them soon after.
"Parkour"[]
The heroes find themselves in a parkour world, with Purple challenging them to a friendly parkour competition. However, halfway into the episode, he exits the parkour world, which was actually a simulation inside the Nether, giving the Stick Gang's pet pig away to a Piglin Brute and kneeling down before King Orange. It's revealed the whole simulation was a trap meant to jail the Stick Gang; And if they tried to find a way out, they would be condemned to an endless loop where a Piglin Brute is constantly chasing them. King Orange reveals he wants Purple to get the Minecraft Game Icon from the Stick Gang's computer so he could equip it on his staff and unleash a black hole to destroy all of Minecraft. However, Green managed to escape the loop and hear the conversation; When Purple leaves King Orange's fortress to find the Nether portal leading to the Animator's computer, he's attacked by Green, who's enraged by what's Purple's second betrayal by now. After a quick fight, King Orange catches Green and imprisons him while Purple goes to the Nether portal.
"Lush Caves"[]
He is seen at the very end, going through the Nether portal onto the Animator's computer, just in time to confront the Second Coming and Red.
"The Ultimate Weapon"[]
Purple tries to get the Game Icon, but the Second Coming and Red try to stop him, becoming suspicious of his behavior. Purple then decides to fight them, eventually gaining his hands on the MGI. Revealing a power previously unknown to the stick figures, the MGI starts glowing white and consumes all the items near it into itself, including the Nether portal; Purple and Red manage to go through it at the last second, but the Second Coming isn't, and is stranded on the computer. Purple runs away as the MGI consumes more and more things in its path, which includes Yellow, Green and Blue's items, and their pig, killing it; This also accidentally saves King Orange, as he was in the middle of fighting them. Using his elytra, Purple flies away but is pursued by Red, who's riding a hoglin, eventually making a jump which lets him leach his enemy. The two then wrestle for the MGI, until King Orange grabs Red and throws him into prison using his command block while Purple grabs the MGI.
As King Orange obtains the MGI and equips it on his staff, the block is corrupted. The monarch uses his newfound power to shoot a beam of light into the roof, destroying it and killing several Piglin Brutes. He then starts levitating, and Purple tries to hold the Game Icon alongside him as he was promised in "Parkour", but King Orange smacks him away. He then creates black void that starts sucking everything inside it. The Second Coming then arrives and fights the king, having gained his own Game Icon. Despite the betrayal, Purple remains loyal towards his master and sends an army of Piglin Brutes at the newly-released Fighting Stick Figures. Once the stick figures kill all the piglins, Purple tries to fly away, but is grabbed by Green and Yellow before he can escape. He sees King Orange and begs him for help, only to get a taste of his own medicine as his once-master leaves him behind to continue fighting the Second Coming. Purple, visibly shocked, gets rid of his elytra and escapes. Green manages to get his hands on the elytra and, despite Yellow urging him to forget about Purple, chases him into a Nether portal.
"Note Block Universe"[]
Purple and Green wind up in a note block dimension, made of note blocks with the mobs living in it and singing in harmony. Eventually, with some help from the mobs, Green finds Purple in a desert. Using his new singing abilities, he asks him to stop, but Purple refuses. As they chase each other on top of a mountain, Green asks for questions relating to previous encounters; why did he betray them all by imprisoning them in a Parkour course, why did he leave Green and Blue to die in the End, and is he good or evil, referencing his tendency to switch sides. Purple, revealing that he can also sing, tells him to shut up before finally stopping on the top of the mountain. From there, he tells Green the tale about his parents and explains that he betrayed Blue and Green because he thought getting the Dragon Egg would make Dark Blue proud by proving himself to be the tough fighter he wanted him to be.
Ending the story, he breaks down crying and answers Green's previous question by claiming he's evil. Taking pity on him, Green gives him his elytra back and claims that Purple isn't really good or evil, but that he's himself, and that both Green and the rest of the Stick Gang are willing to give him another chance. He accepts redemption, and alongside Green, races towards the Nether to defeat King Orange. At the same moment, the king just merged two Game Icons into one before launching an enormous black hole, making his previous one look pathetically small. Purple arrives, punching the king in the face before grabbing his staff, to the shock of the other stick figures.
"The King"[]
Purple kills King Orange's Dark Mobs before trying, but failing, to destroy the black hole. Meanwhile, the king steals Yellow's command block-equipped staff and proceeds to defeat the band of heroes and eventually get to Purple, where he easily defeats him and gets his staff back. As he spawns a gigantic Dark Mob hybrid, Herobrine himself arrives to stop him. Purple watches the two fight and witnesses all the monster friends the Stick Gang befriended, including Herobrine, get sucked into King Orange's staff. With only the stick figures left to fight, they try their hardest to defeat the king while he expands the black hole to levels so big that it starts sucking in all of Minecraft inside it, even realms beyond the Nether. Despite the king being too strong to defeat, Purple doesn't give up, even after everyone else started losing hope. As the monarch prepares to finish off Purple with a giant blast from the staff, seeing the stick figure struggle reminds him of his own lost son, who died a similar way long ago. He realises that Purple and his son were very similar in behavior, and he essentially lost his chance to move on from his boy's death with a surrogate child. As Purple begins to disintegrate from existence, King Orange rushes after him, with them both being sucked in. Inside the staff, where they're both somehow still alive, King Orange rushes to Purple and hugs him.
However, the Second Coming manages to fix everything and bring back everyone and everything lost to the black hole, including Purple and King Orange. After the Stick Gang's newly revived pig - the same Purple killed - shows that it trusts Purple, the heroes are willing to forgive him. King Orange then manages to redeem himself before he and Purple say their goodbyes and leave the Nether, with Purple giving his former crown to the pig. The two then go back to the city they first met in as a surrogate/adoptive family, moving on from trying to avenge his son and impress Dark Blue, respectively.
