Purple Face is a supporting character in the animated web series, Battle for Dream Island, serving as the secondary antagonist in the fourth season, Battle for BFB.
He is voiced by Justin Chapman.
Appearance[]
He is a poorly drawn purple face. He appears to be a purple colored version of Yellow Face, which makes his facial appearance almost identical, albeit more expressive.
Personality[]
In his debut appearance, he is quite hostile towards Yellow Face. Later in the series, he has a voracious appetite as he shows no ill will to devour contestants, though this is likely derived from his imprisonment. Despite this, he has a kinder side, as he calls out Flower for her rudeness, though he cheers her up for complimenting her sweater.
Biography[]
Battle for Dream Island[]
His only appearance in the first season was "Insectophobe's Nightmare 2", where he criticizes Yellow Face's products, saying that they are outdated. Purple Face also demands someone to boycott Yellow Face's products. After being interrupted again, Yellow Face eats him.
Battle for Dream Island Again[]
While he currently does not physically appear in the shows second season, he is mentioned by Yellow Face by having boogers that can harm FreeSmart. He also appears in a flashback when Bomby acquires a purple color.
Battle for BFB[]
Purple Face first appears physically in a metal box that says, "DON'T OPEN, PURPLE INSIDE" in "Let's Raid the Warehouse". In the next episode, he breaks out of the box, who threatens to eat the Have Cots and chases them down. He succeeds in doing so, though the Have Cots are protected from being eaten due to Flower's sweaters. Purple Face later asks why Flower is being violent. She explains is that it is because of the negative reception of them. When he equips a sweater, the two rejoice.
He hosts the Cake at Stake for the Have Nots in "The Game Has Changed". Blocky then asks if he can leave due to being eliminated, which he lets him, which he replaces him with a stick. When he starts the Cake at Stake, he sings the theme, though he is interrupted by Firey and Flower for his terrible singing, which makes him angry. When Four finds out he is doing the Cake at Stake, he despawns him.
In "The Tweested Temple" he acts as a tour guide. When he finds out that Lollipop and Gelatin are missing, he becomes sad. When Leafy says that he only showed her 1% of the temple, he gets angry and kicks her out.
In "Uprooting for Everything", he asks Four if he can be a co-host, which he declines, though X likes the idea. Four protests this, though Purple Face tricks him into changing his mind. Purple Face later asks Four to teleport the contestants in the World's Largest Oven, though he gets stuck in it as well. He goes into a small with with Gelatin and Leafy, and wants to leave until he sees CRT. However, with the door being locked, he is trapped inside. Purple Face then tells stories to the contestants. Leafy later throws him to shatter the glass of the oven, which burns him alive.
In the next episode, "B.F.B. = Back From Beginning", Four orders Purple Face to get rid of the Announcer, which he attempts to do so by doing a freestyle rap, though this fails as the Announcer flings him away.
In "SOS (Save Our Show)", Purple Face tells everyone to get on the remodeled bus to save the shows budget. He later interviews the finalists, always asking Gelatin reasonable questions, while Flower is only asked questions referring to himself. He later tortures Flower with bugs. Leafy informs Purple Face that they only have 12 dollars left. Shocked, he tells Gelatin to do a new act. Flower does the same thing, only to get booed by the audience, amusing Purple Face. Purple Face later urges everyone to get new ideas, and begs Flower to spend 50,000 dollars on the show, which he later thanks the final two for saving the show.
In the season finale "Chapter Complete", he steals the BFDI and runs into a bus to get away with it. He argues that he deserves it for his contributions and that no one has acknowledged or thanked him. He, Flower, and the Announcer get into a fight. Flower then convinces him that he was a good host and that everyone appreciates him, which lets him give up the BFDI. He then gets thanked by Four for saving the show from getting cancelled. He is last seen with the Announcer, Four, and X planning another season.
