Biography[]
Past[]
Purse Priest was born 8000 years ago in ancient China as a low ranking member of the Gorma Tribe dubbed a Gorma Minion; humans that could assume more powerful monster forms themed around objects. When the Gorma Tribe declared war on the other two tribes of the Daos Empire some 8000 years ago, Purse Priest was among the army that engaged in the war but he was killed in battle when six members of the Dai Tribe become the Dairangers. As with all Gorma however, he will revive always sometime in the future because the Yo Power they used was the counterpart to the Dai Tribe's Dai Power. As long as the Dai Power exists, so will the Gorma Tribe be resurrected.
Dairanger[]
In 1993, Purse Priest resurrects into a new purse-themed body and serves Major Zydos.
Purse Priest is first seen being thrown from a sack by Zydos who tells him to kidnap and kill humans to sacrifice for the Gorma's Biidoro Boodoro cannibalistic feast. He is then seen in his human form playing basketball before he ambushes a boy that goes after the ball whereupon he makes his escape but his screams alert Shoji so he immediately returns to fight. Purse Priest initially has the upper-hand and even Shoji's Star Inversion Wave technique is easily defeated by the monster's Purse Dunk attack before the Gorma Minion makes his escape. He later reappears and kidnaps another child before ambushing and kidnapping Rin as she investigates. Later, as the Biidoro Boodoro feast begins on a yacht, Purse Priest appears as an executioner but Shoji (having followed the Gorma Triumvirate car to the yacht) intervenes before he can behead Rin. Although the Triumvirate then overwhelm the two, the other Dairangers arrive so they flee and leave Purse Priest to kill them. Purse Priest tries to flee but the Dairangers cut him off so he sends the Cotpotros but they are killed and Shoji dodges his Purse Dunk before taking him down with the Star Revolving Kicks. Enraged, Purse Priest pulls out a Growth Bomb but they pin him with thier Dairenrods so that he can't use it and obliterate him with the Chi Power Bomber.
