All tainted flesh eventually becomes putrescence, and this clump of it imbibed St. Trina's nectar, which granted it eternal rest. And so it was that putrescence became her knight.
~ The Remembrance of Putrescence.

The Putrescent Knight is a major antagonist in the 2022 dark fantasy action role-playing video game DLC, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. It is a knight made from decaying flesh that became imbibed from St. Trina's nectar, putting it into eternal rest. Since then, it has served as St. Trina's loyal knight and protector.

History[]

The Putrescent Knight was formed together from putrescent flesh and being imbibed with St. Trina's nectar, granting it eternal rest. In response to her act of her kindness, the Putrescent Knight swore to become her servant, acting as her knight.

When the Tarnished arrived at the bottom depths of the Stone Coffin Fissure, the Putrescent Knight arrived and attempted to kill them, under the impression that they came for St. Trina. Unfortunately, it was bested in combat and ultimately slain.
