~ Q threatening Valdi. |
Q is a supporting antagonist in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. He is the Consul of Colony 30.
Appearance[]
Q is a warrior with red eyes wearing red armor. His helmet resembles that of a moai.
Biography[]
Little is known about Q's origins. He serves as the Consul in charge of Colony 30, where he instructs Valdi to create a legion of mechanical machines called Levnises in sake of the permanent war between Keves and Agnus. Valdi soon feels remorseful for creating his machines for destruction, yet Q shows no concerns and orders him to build the "ultimate Levnis", the Siege-Lev.
Q first appears finding Valdi after he failed to report in and demands him to return to the colony, leaving the Ouroboros alone for he wasn't interested in fighting at the moment. Later, after Q tells Valdi to get back to work, Valdi tells the Levnis that he will not use it to bring destruction to anyone, and prepares to destroy it. However, Q appears before him and angrily smacks Valdi down for failing his task. He then proceeds to pilot the Siege-Lev boasting his plan to have it serve its purpose, but first he prepares to crush Valdi. Suddenly, Mechafriend, a small Levnis that Valdi previously built to protect him, comes to his aid and blocks Valdi within a shield. Q eventually breaks through Mechafriend's shield and crushes it under the Siege-Lev's foot. The Ouroboros, having followed the Mechafriend to Colony 30, confront Q and destroy the Siege-Lev, seemingly killing Q when it explodes.
However, he is revealed to be still alive within Alexandria's ascension quest, where he was the one who hijacked Valdi's controlled Agnian Levnis which nearly killed him, the Ouroboros, and Alexandria while visiting. The team follow the robots' footsteps to the remnants of Colony 18, where Q sends in two more of his Levnises after them. He reveals that the robots in question contain a weakening poison which he planed on poisoning Colony 30's water supply and blame it on Colony Iota as a way to force them back into the war. The party and Alexandria confront him, where he restrains Alexandria with the Levnises. He also reveals to her that he learned from E about her past where she poisoned the previous leader of Iota so he would die in battle, telling her that it was the same type of poison. Alexandria admits her act, explaining that Iota would have collapsed if she didn't kill him for his wasting of men and resources.
Q proceeds to mock Alexandria that Colony Iota will lose their trust in her once he reveals to them the truth, before preparing the Levnises to fire at her. However, the Ouroboros block their attacks and declare that they still trust Alexandria. Q turns into his Moebius form to battle the team with his two Levnis. The team prevails, but Q proceeds to blast at Alexandria over the cliff, forcing Noah to save her. Q prepares to finish them off only for Lanz to intervene, allowing Noah to lift Alexandria back up before using the Sword of the End to slice Q's core, killing him instantly.
