Queen Jeanne is the secondary antagonist of the anime movie Doraemon: Nobita in the Robot Kingdom. She is the ruler of the Robot Kingdom, who was manipulated by Dester into believing that her father's death was due to the belief in robots' emotions, thus she starts the "Robot Reproduction Plan" to remove them. She is also Maria's adoptive daughter and Poko's adoptive older sister.

She was voiced by Chiharu Niiyama in the Japanese version, and Brian Beacock in the English dubbed version, who also played Gravimon in Digimon franchise.

History[]

Jeanne was the daughter of King Atom, the previous ruler of the Robot Kingdom. Since her mother died young, Jeanne was raised by Maria and became the adoptive older sister of the latter's son, Poko. Jeanne saw Maria as her mother and Poko as her brother.

When King Atom died due to sacrificing himself to save robots, Jeanne was crowned Queen, but her advisor Dester manipulated her into believing that Atom's death was due to believing that robots also had emotions like humans. As such, Jeanne started the "Robot Reproduction Plan", removing the robots' emotions. Maria and Poko ran away upon learning this. Poko escaped but Maria was captured. However, Jeanne can't bring herself to remove Maria's emotion, having still seen the latter as her mother. This irritates Dester as Maria and Poko become obstacles in his plans.

When Poko is trying to return to the castle to find Maria, he is chased by Jeanne's robot soldiers. Doraemon rescues him but is captured in the process. Amused to find out that Doraemon is a robot from Earth, Dester forces him to fight Kongfighter. Doraemon wins and is rescued by his friends, but Jeanne and Dester spot Poko in the process. As the group escape, Jeanne and Dester chase after them. It is at this point that Dester openly betrays Jeanne by pushing her into a cliff. Believing her to be dead, he returns to the castle and declares himself king.

However, Jeanne survives the fall and is rescued by Poko. Nurtured back to health in the Rainbow Valley where humans and robots co-exist, she realizes the error of her ways and leads the main group and the valley's inhabitants to return to the castle in order to abolish the "Robot Reproduction Plan". Dester tries to stop them, but as the soldiers are programmed not to harm humans, they malfunction, allow the group to cross over. Angered, Dester activates the castle, which itself is a gigantic robot, forcing the group to flee. Nobita then controls "Robot Arena" to fight the castle, but fails due to his own incompetence. However, he manages to destroy one leg of the castle, causing it to collapse.

Doraemon then invades the castle to defeat Dester and accidentally falls onto him, knocking Dester unconscious due to Doraemon's solid head. He then rescues Maria, but Dester accidentally turns the castle into a rocket before falling completely to the floor, and it is about to crash into the moon. Doraemon and Maria say goodbye, and Jeanne expresses remorse for having listened to Dester's words. Thankfully, with Poko's help, Dr. Chapek manages to rescue Doraemon, Maria and Dester. Jeanne and Poko then reunites with Maria after being separated from her for so long. Afterwards, Jeanne abolishes the "Robot Reproduction Plan", much to the kingdom's delight. Later on, she, Poko, Maria and Dr. Chapek bid a goodbye to the main group when they return home.
