Queen Tega June is the main antagonist of No.1 Sentai Gozyuger, the 49th series of the long-running Super Sentai Tokusatsu franchise made in celebration of Super Sentai reaching 50 years in airtime.
She's the enigmatic ruling queen of the No. 1 World and the head of its militaristic governing force, the Bridan, seeking to collect the Sentai Rings to prevent the resurrection of the Tega Sword, which ravaged their world to the point of ruin during the universe war against the Calamity. Aside from this, her secondary goal is to seek out and marry whoever she deems a suitable groom.
She is voiced by Yukana, who previously voiced Mezool in Kamen Rider OOO and C.C. in Code Geass.
Appearance[]
Tega June is a large robotic humanoid colored pearlescent white with red streaks and dark silver trim on her torso and arms, with a notably feminine humanoid face that greatly contrasts the mechanic mouthplate on the Tega Sword. Her chest is adorned with a big red "x" insignia, which also adorns her forehead. In addition to possessing a small pistol directly mounted on her right hand, she has large wings positioned in a cape-like fashion behind her shoulders. The left wing is shaped like a dagger, while the right wing is shaped like a pistol.
Her alternate form is a right-handed robotic gauntlet with a pistol for an index finger and a dagger blade underneath. A miniature version of it is used by Kuon to transform into Ring Hunter Garyudo.
History[]
The queen's history is largely unknown, but 10 years before the start of the series, she sent the Bridan after a group of humans who had been mysteriously transported to their realm. Only a small handful of the group survived and escaped, with the rest remaining captured and slated for unknown fates, some of them dying trying to return home. One of the prisoners, Hisamitsu Tono, would later be pressed into her service, changing his name to Kuon and becoming her personal executioner, the Ring Hunter Garyudo, while his brother, Hoeru, was separated from him and believed that he died during the incident.
Sometime afterwards, the Universe War occured with the Calamity against the previous Super Sentai Mecha, only ending after Tega Sword defeated them using the previous mechas' power, at the cost of accidentally destroying the universe before it was recreated. The No.1 World was one of said causalties, and the Bridan later began invading the human world in order to prevent Tega Sword's reawakening.

- Tega June is the very first Sentai main villain to be a mecha. This also makes her one of the few primary Sentai villains to get a proper toy.
- Her name is a play on "Gun in Hand" and "June Bride".
- Tega June's design is a heavy overhaul of the Tega Sword's, with the only similarities being the bulk of the transformation engineering. Otherwise, every other physical part of Tega Sword's design was replaced for Tega June's, most notably the addition of firearm elements.
