~ "Nia" in the second chapter. |
The Queen of Agnus is a minor antagonist in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. She is a mechanical duplicate of Nia, created by the Consuls to maintain control over Agnus.
Like her organic counterpart, she was voiced by Hitomi Ōwada in Japanese and Catrin-Mai Huw in English.
Appearance[]
The Queen is a near-identical counterpart of Nia, with the exception of her robotic face hidden behind her golden mask. She has gray hair and long feline ears. A Core Crystal can be seen embedded in her chest. She wears a white kimono garnet.
Biography[]
The Queen of Agnus was constructed by Z to rule over the Agnian nation of Aionis, the merged form of Bionis and Alrest. From the Queen, the Colonies of Agnus were forced into an endless war between the Colonies of Keves led by the Queen of Keves. While not encountered until late into the game, the Queen conducts a meeting with her soldiers shortly after the Ouroboros are established, ordering them to find and destroy them.
In the prison underneath the Agnian Castle, the party sneak into a prison to rescue Monica's daughter Ghondor. After three days, the Lost Numbers issue an attack as planned, but the Ouroboros are caught by N and M due to Shania exposing their plan. After X seals away their Ouroboros powers, the team have no choice but to surrender.
After being forced to rot in the Agnus Castle jail for a month, the party is forced to witness a Homecoming Ceremony dedicated to Mio as she nears the last of her tenth term. The Queen herself spectated the ceremony and did not intervene once it was revealed M and Mio previously swapped bodies, allowing the Ouroboros to fight back against their captives and defeat N.
Once N is bested by having his core damaged and forced to retreat, X either takes possession or directs the Queen to intercept the Ouroboros and pilot her Ferronis to attack the Ouroboros, indirectly firing at her own soldiers in the process. But with Noah having awakened the Sword of Origin, the mechanical imposter proves no match to the rebels and is killed once the Ferronis explodes.
