Queen of Fables (Harley Quinn TV Series)

The Queen of Fables in one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Scarecrow) in Season 1 of the adult animation series Harley Quinn and a major character in its spin-off, Kite-Man: Hell Yeah!.

Here, rather than a cosmic entity like her comic book counterpart, she is a human sorceress who uses a magic book to summon fairytale characters and creatures to do her bidding. She was voiced by Wanda Sykes in Harley Quinn and by Janelle James in Kite-Man: Hell Yeah!.

Harley Quinn[]

30 years prior, she lead an assault on Gotham City with her fairytale army and nearly destroyed it in an attempt to prove that female supervillains could be just as dangerous as the males. The Justice League defeated her army and sealed her inside an American tax book.

She is freed after a judge rules that such a punishment is unjustified and falls into cruel and unjust punishment. However, after she is freed, the judge reveals that he was only freeing her from the book, and sentences her to spend the rest of her life in Arkham Asylum. She is freed by Harley Quinn and joins her crew, but is later kicked out after she has the Big Bad Wolf massacre dozens of people, including several children, at a family reunion.

After the crew steals a weather control device to ransom Gotham, the Queen attempts to steal it for herself, but they are interrupted by Jason Praxis, a surviving member of a family she had slaughtered with electrical powers who sought revenge on the Queen. He destroys her storybook, but Harley uses a force field device she and her crew previously stole to protect the Queen and subdue Praxis before getting the former to leave. Killing Praxis on her way out, the Queen promises Harley will regret letting her live.

In the episode "Devil's Snare", having ormed an alliance with the Joker and acquired a new storybook, the Queen traps the Justice League in it. Attempting to kill Harley and her crew, she up a beanstalk and trap them in it to be killed by a giant cyclops. After getting down with Kite-Man's help, Harley "kills" the Queen by decapitating her.

It was later revealed that her storybook fell into the possession of a nurse named Bethany, Joker's new girlfriend. The Queen later appears during an in memoriam segment during a villain's award show in season 3.

Kite Man: Hell Yeah![]

After the events of the main series, the Queen of Fables' head is still alive. After it was brought by Kite Man to Noonan's Bar, where she met a criminal professor, who brought her to his school as a replacement for one of his pets. The Queen later steals the body of one of the mothers that came to pick up their son, and eventually began a relationship with Moe Dubelz.
