The Queen of the Leviathans is the main antagonist of the manhwa Leviathan. She is revealed to be the cause of the world's sea creatures' transformation into Leviathans and is the reason why humanity is close to extinction.
Personality[]
The Queen of the Leviathans quickly comes across as a sadistic, vicious, cruel and power-hungry monster that has no care for anything that doesn't grant her ultimate control over her pawns and destruction to her enemies.
Similarly to other queens in hive-minded communities such as wasps, the queen will kill anything that could possibly challenge her off the throne and dedicates anything to keep it that way. This might just be her being power-hungry, but it's implied that she rather does so out of extreme fear. She went so far as to destroy some of humanities biggest bases all to find and kill Lita, who recently gained the power to control Leviathans herself. Her attacks could have lost some of the most powerful Leviathans and when she communicated with Bota, she already had half of there world's Leviathans near her before any war was even declared, when Bota pointed this out she was incapable of giving a response.
Story[]
130 years ago, a meteor hit the moon causing its debris to crash into the earth. The largest piece of debris fell into the Pacific Ocean creating a large crater called Vagabundus. Research ships from all over the world came to inspect the crater, but then there was a sudden explosion emanating from the crater and all the ships were lost.
Unbeknownst to humanity, this explosion caused numerous seeds to rapidly spread across the globe and those seeds would infect as well as change the world's sea creatures into vicious monsters.
Inside the crater the Queen continued to grow and rule over anything that she has infected and mutated. For 70 years the world's sea level would rise because of the moon's partial destruction, triggering humanity to live on ships and the queen now having enough space for her monsters. She would then create large flesh-like pipes to pump seawater into the ocean floor, generating volcanic eruptions to emerge. Her ultimate goal being to cause another massive explosion so more seeds can be spread into the sea and space (So she can start again on another planet) and infect more sea creatures to end humanity once and for all.
