Quicksilver
Pietro Maximoff also known as Quicksilver is a major antagonist in X-Men: Evolution he is the supervillain speedster brother of Wanda Maximoff and the son of Magneto. He is voiced by Richard Ian Cox Pietro was on the same basketball team as Evan Daniels according to Storm had been competing with Evan since they were infants. While Evan had viewed Pietro as friend before he discovered his true colors Pietro did not feel the same way having been jealous of Evan hogging all the glory on the basketball court while he had been holding back on his powers to make Evan look good. Despite knowing and competing with each other their entire lives neither Pietro or Evan knew that the other was a mutant even Storm had no idea Pietro was a mutant despite sensing another mutant at the basketball game. During the final inning of the game Pietro was able keep hold of the ball but when he passed it on to Evan unbeknownst to Pietro but not to Storm Evan’s powers suddenly manifested but Pietro merely believed Evan was being clumsy as he nearly didn’t make the shot. However Evan managed to make the shot at the last second causing Pietro’s jealousy and envy of Evan to consume him completely while in the boys locker room and after waiting for the other boys to leave Pietro declared to Evan that he should have known that Evan would hog all the glory and that he should have taken that shot himself. Evan confused by what Pietro was saying saying that as good as he was there was no way he could have made it in time for a shot enraged Pietro declared to Evan that he had moves he couldn’t even imagine and that he was through holding back just to make guys like Evan look good and he finally left. Having finally seen that Evan was his enemy Pietro began breaking into Evan’s locker and stealing his money something he had been doing for some time with Evan none the wiser Pietro pretended to be helpful when Evan realized that he’d been ripped off for the third time this week. Having appeared out of nowhere Evan asked where Pietro had come from with Pietro replying that’s a question he should be asking himself on the basketball court when Evan said he was fast Pietro thought he was finally admitting he was better than him. Evan responded that Pietro was faster not better before complaint that about getting ripped off three times in one week Pietro tricked Evan by giving him the money that had already stolen from Evan and said he would help catch the thief. Once Evan had left Pietro’s face turned smug and replied that even on Evan’s best day he would never catch him. That night as Evan waited for the thief a powerful gust of wind ripped through the school halls and opening all the lockers Evan determined to stop whatever was happening used his spike powers revealing to Pietro that Evan was a mutant while Evan realized that Pietro was a mutant as well as the one who’d been ripping him off. Hurt and confused Evan asked why Pietro had been stealing from him Pietro now sporting a blue and white costume he had made himself and calling himself Quicksilver replied that it was for the kicks and the challenge and that when you live as fast as him there’s not enough things to occupy his time Pietro mocked Evan for thinking he could stop him and declared anything Evan could do Pietro could do better. Evan finally losing any respect he once had for Pietro vowed to take him down once and for all while Pietro merely scoffed and told Evan needed more training and mockingly asked if Evan could say jail bait and fled the school leaving Evan to take the blame for Pietro’s crimes.
