Quinn Kirsch, better known as Quinn Bailey, is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Ethan Landry) of Scream VI, the sixth installment of the Scream franchise.
The daughter of Wayne Bailey and sister of the late Richie Kirsch and Ethan, Quinn and her family wanted to avenge her older brother by killing Samantha Carpenter, his murderer, and teamed up with the rest of her family to do so.
She was portrayed by Liana Liberato, who also played Lola in Dig, Sabrina in Hidden Exposure, and Jade Waters in Criminal Minds: Evolution. While in-disguise, he was voiced by Roger L. Jackson. In-costume scenes as Ghostface were portrayed by Mathieu Coderre and Max Laferriere.
Biography[]
Backstory[]
Quinn was born to Wayne Bailey in the 2000's as the younger sister of Richie Kirsch. Her mother is unknown and she’s the older sister of Ethan Landry. The three indulged Richie's love of the Stab movies, even helping him make his own fan film and YouTube videos about the franchise. When Richie met Amber Freeman, the two conceived a plan to make a new Stab movie using Billy Loomis's biological daughter, Samantha, which ended up with both of them getting killed.
After Gale Weathers published a book detailing what happened, Wayne, Ethan and Quinn were mad at the loss of Richie and came up with a plan to get revenge. Quinn responded to an anonymous ad to be Sam and Tara's roommate and moved in with them to gain their trust. She took on the mantle as a "sex positive" woman who would host many men in their apartment, who she'd engage in intercourse with loudly, much to the annoyance of her roommates. She also started a subreddit dedicated to exposing Sam as the true Woodsboro Murders mastermind.
Scream VI[]
After the deaths of Jason Carvey and Greg Bruckner, Quinn is first seen having sex at Tara's apartment. She tells Sam that Tara is currently at frat a party with Chad, Mindy and Ethan (with Ethan using a fake name so no one would know they are related). Sam went at the party and attacked Frankie, who was trying to take advantage of Tara. The group returned to their apartment where they all watched a news report on Jason's murder. Later that night, Wayne called and Ethan attacked Sam and Tara in a Bodega, where he managed to kill two customers and the owner.
The next morning, Quinn listens to Mindy's rules and suspects list with the rest of the group. Later that night, she hosts her lover, Paul, in the apartment before faking her death with the help of Ethan. Ethan, as Ghostface, managed to kill Paul in the bathtub and Anika by throwing her off a ladder to her death. After that, Wayne swapped out Quinn with a decoy body so Quinn could continue being Ghostface for them whilst everyone believed she was dead.
Quinn proceeded to attack Gale Weathers in her penthouse, successfully killing her muscular boyfriend, Brooks, and almost killing Gale who just barely survived with a weak pulse. Quinn then followed the gang to the subway and after Ethan and Mindy got separated from the rest of the group, possibly by plan, she boarded the same subway as Mindy and Ethan and cornered Mindy. She muffled her screams and stabbed her a few times. After that, Quinn disembarked the subway.
Quinn makes it to the theatre together with Ethan, the two wearing Ghostface masks (Quinn wearing Stu Macher's, Ethan wearing Nancy Loomis'). They knocked out Kirby Reed off-screen, so Wayne can easily frame Kirby as the killer. Then, Quinn attacks and stabs Tara as Chad is kissing her. She’s overpowered by Chad but her brother saves her. They manage to stab Chad multiple times, leaving him for dead, although he barely survived.
Quinn and Ethan surround Sam and Tara, before Wayne and Kirby arrive, pointing guns at each other. Wayne shoots Kirby, and then Wayne and Ethan reveal themselves as two of the Ghostfaces, revealing their true personalities and their involvement in the New York killing spree. Sam and Tara are surprised that the third Ghostface was revealed to be Quinn, who faked her death to avoid suspicion.
When the Ghostface trio revealed their motive, the three are still mourning Richie's death. Whenever Tara or Sam mentioned killing Richie, Quinn responded aggressively to insults towards him, showing that she truly loved her brother. After Sam called Richie a "limp dick little f-ck", showing that she doesn’t really care about their loss of Richie since he was a monster, Quinn, having enough insults towards her brother, tried to attack the two, but she gets hit with a brick by Tara, losing a couple of teeth.
Sam and Tara quickly ran to a rooftop, as Quinn climbed too, preparing to stab Sam. Sam drops Tara as she stabs Ethan in the mouth and gives Quinn the psychotic smile back at her and taunts her how she now lost another brother. Quinn foolishly attempted to attack Sam in a fit of rage for her insults, only to be shot in the head while Sam had a gun pointing at her.
Personality[]
Described as "sexually positive", Quinn is an enigmatic, sadistic and irrational killer, who appears to have a very short temper and an intense knack for sadism and toying with her victims. Despite this, she truly loved Richie and was heartbroken by his death, but she's still very hypocritical showing no remorse for the her victims or think about the families she and Richie before her took from them, and was also loyal to her father Wayne and brother Ethan, flying into rage when Tara stabbed Ethan thus Sam taunting her back, which she gets herself killed when Sam had a gun pointing at her in a unwise attempt to attack her.
