R3 is a robot created by Neo-Guild and an antagonist in episode 16 of Tokusou Robo Janperson.
He is portrayed by Kinbaji Tankobo.
Biography[]
R3 was created by Professor Tonda, one of the few human members of Neo-Guild, to be a robot that possessed a will as Tonda believed that would be the key to defeating Janperson. R3 was sent out to fight Janperson only for Janperson to smack him on the head and cause his personality to change, making him believe he was Florence Nightengale and start caring for injured civilians. To restore Tonda to his original personality, Tonda had a pair of GuilBlackers hit R3 with an electric battering ram, but this caused Tonda's personality to change to that of Dracula instead. R3 then began chasing civilians to drink their blood, only for Janperson to smack him several more times on the head and cause his personality to change to that of a child. R3 then went to play with a little girl and befriended her. After saving a little girl he befriended and her mother, R3 was invited to eat at their house, only for them to became horrified at R3 after they saw him eating a pair of batteries. Rejected, R3 left the house and was found by Tonda again. Tonda smacked him with the battering ram, but R3's personality became that of Tarzan rather than his original programming, leading Tonda to smack him again and inadvertently cause his personality to become that of Space Sheriff Gavan. R3 then became confused by all the personalities in his head and collapsed, asking Janperson who he was. R3 then reflected on how he had been happiest as "San-chan" when he got to play with the little girl, before exploding as a result of being hit with the battering ram too many times.
