Games are bad! They make you mad!
~ The Parents for Decency's catchphrase.

The Parents for Decency, more commonly known as the RWS Protestors are minor antagonists in the 2003 video game POSTAL 2. They are a group of protestors who fight against violent video games and companies that make them. They are the first enemies The Postal Dude encounters.

The male members are voiced by Marcus Davis while the female members are voiced by Stacie Treumann.

Ideology[]

The Parents for Decency are presumably parents, although some of them may not be such. They initially have good intentions and intend to bring the sale of violent videogames down, as they believe that violent videogames turn people and notably kids into dangerous individuals, although this might not be true (as in reality any study proved that violent videogames turn some sane people murderous).

However, they take their ideology much too far as they are willing to invade the RWS quarters and kill every of their employees in order to destroy the production of violent videogames. They may suffer from mental illnesses, due to their violent behavior, although this may be the norm in the Postal's dystopic universe.

They are also hypocrites, as some of them can be seen playing RWS' arcade games at Quarter Vortex an amusement arcade, on Thursday and Friday in Paradise Mall.

Biography[]

POSTAL 2[]

The Parents for Decency are protesting outside the RWS headquarters, showing picket signs with legends such as "Make a game with a plot", "Kill violent video gamers", "Censor RWS' shitty games" or even one with Vince Desi's face on it that says, "Desi is the devil". Once the check is signed, they will break into the quarters, and a gunfight will ensue.

In order to survive the Postal Dude must kill the Parents for Decency who broke through the RWS building. They are not heavily armed and can be easily defeated, and do not forget that the RWS' armed staff is with you. However, many of them will come so it is advised to not rush prematurely, especially if the player lacks weaponry.

POSTAL 2: Paradise Lost[]

The Parents for Decency are nowhere to be found in POSTAL 2: Paradise Lost, and as such, are implied to have disbanded.
