Radik Gradenko was the commander of the Soviet secret police and a major antagonist in Command & Conquer: Red Alert. Gradenko overlooks the security of the Soviet Union. He deployed Sarun gas against a village. Gradenko later sends a Soviet officer to destroy a Polish rebel group. Gradenko saw the Chronosphere's power when he was near an Allied Base. Stalin wanted the Chronosphere and sent Gradenko to steal it for him. Stalin also tested Gradenko's loyalty by making sign death warrants against Soviet generals that were suspected of treachery. Gradenko was later poisoned by tea and later replaced by Georgi Kukov.
