Otto and Elke van Dalsen, commonly known as Rage and Scream, are minor antagonists of the video game Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, appearing in the first two DLC missions. They are a sibling duo of General Resource mercenaries hired by Howard Clemens to assassinate the LRSSG pilot Trigger.
Rage was voiced by Jordan Reynolds in English and Motoyuki Kawahara in Japanese, while Scream was voiced by Nicole Gose in English and Akiha Matsui in Japanese.
Biography[]
Rage and Scream worked for General Resource as "guardian mercenaries", presumably patrolling the waters and defending the corporation's vessels from pirates. One day, they were hired by the Osean Brigadier General Howard Clemens to assassinate Trigger, an Osean ace pilot.
In September 2019, when Trigger, alongside the rest of Long Range Strategic Strike Group, were on a mission to capture Matias Torres and his nuclear-capable submarine Alicorn, the Mimic Squadron entered the skies above the battlefield. Scream shot down an Erusean aircraft, which Rage scolded her for, before the two engaged Trigger. Though they proved to be tough opponents, eventually the siblings had to retreat.
Rage and Scream attempted to shoot Trigger down again six days later, during Operation Domino in Anchorhead. Though Clemens tried to call the attack off, understanding that Trigger's survival was crucial for Osea to win the war, the mercenaries kept engaging him, since they didn't want to tarnish their reputation by letting the target go. Thanks to Count's help, Trigger was able to separate the two and shoot down and kill both of them.
Personality[]
Rage and Scream cared first and foremost about their mission, and would keep hunting the person the hit was placed on even if their client called their attack off. While Rage was mostly calm and composed in battle, able to analyze the current situation, Scream was much more reckless, emotional and bloodthirsty. In spite of arguing frequently, the siblings cared for each other, as when one was shot down, the other had a breakdown until Trigger defeated them too.
