Raging Raven (or Red Raven) is a recurring villain from the Cartoon Network original series, Teen Titans Go!, first appearing in the episode "Colors of Raven". She is one of Raven's five split personalities, who embodies the evil demon self that she usually tries to repress. Free from the rest of her four personalities, Raging Raven is unhinged and allowed to exhibit her full villainous self.
She is voiced by Tara Strong, who also voices Raven, Silkie, Kitten, and Klatak (among others) in the same series. Strong also voiced Raven in the original Teen Titans.
Biography[]
In "Colors of Raven," the Teen Titans were screwing around with a mysterious prism and Raven was warning them to stop playing with it. They ignored her and the prism started glowing. Worried, the Titans hot-potatoed the prism around before Raven finally caught it, only to get vaporized by the glow of the prism, which split her into five versions of herself. One of which, was Raging Raven, a red version of her that embodied her rage as well as the demon that lies within her. Angered that the Titans ignored her original self's warnings, Raging Raven slapped Cyborg across the face.
Later that night, Cyborg announced that he was gonna be showing everyone the action movie "The Dark Night Snoozes". Out of anger, Raging Raven smashed Cyborg against the wall and yelled at him that The Dark Night Snoozes wasn't everyone's favorite movie. Just his. Cyborg happily said that he loves how Raging Raven is more open than the original Raven, as she always speaks her mind instead of bottling up her emotions. Raging Raven smashed Cyborg into the ground and told him that she hates it when he yells. Deciding that an action movie isn't the best option, Starfire suggested they watch a comedy instead. Raging Raven punched Cyborg repeatedly because she liked that idea, proving that she's violently angry, even when she's happy.
The next morning, Cyborg and Happy Raven were making dancing animal pancakes for breakfast only for Raging Raven to blast the cookies to oblivion with her lightning bolts, demanding to have normal, non-sentient food for breakfast. Robin came in and Raven grabbed his face and slammed it against the table repeatedly before throwing him across the room for absolutely no reason.
The Teen Titans got a crime alert and went to fight a Giant Robotic Alien. However, none of the new Ravens were able to fight the alien for their own various reasons. In Raging Raven's case, she was too bust beating up Cyborg.
In "Some of Their Parts", the Titans decided to play with the prism picking out replacing the Titans with the color coded Titans as a new team. Beast Boy requested the Purple Raven because he liked the way she looked at him, Robin disagreed and Red Raven was picked instead by Robin, Cyborg and Starfire as they thought she would make as the new Raven.
Along with with her, Green Cyborg (Soldier Cyborg), Red Starfire (Savage Starfire), and Yellow Beast Boy (The Human Shield). were chosen to be a team of new Titans (except Robin).
In the end of the episode, Beast Boy decided to play with the prism again on Raven to finally get the Purple Raven and they tried to kiss but his face was grabbed by Red Raven.
