Rago is the main antagonist of Beyblade: Metal Fury. He is the child of Nemesis and is responsible for the near world-ending Nemesis Crisis. He wanted to use Nemesis to bring about a new darkness onto the world. He is also the second person to ever defeat Ryuga after Gingka Hagane.
Biography[]
Rago first appears after Doji frees him along with Herschel, Keyser and Cycnus from a temple much to Pluto's amazedment. Rago proves he is the child of Nemesis by controlling Proto Nemesis's power. Gingka and the other Legendary Bladers later arrived, fighting in battles that caused Nemesis to gain more power.
Rago then battled Gingka, Kyoya, and Chris when they started to interfere with Ryuga also joined the fight. Ryuga tried to attack Nemesis on his own after Doji provoked him, which led to L-Drago's power being stolen and Nemesis evolving. Rago orders Johannes, Herschel, Keyser and Cycnus to stop Gingka and the other Legendary Bladers from reaching his island, which they fail to do. He, Pluto, and Doji uncover the city of King Hades, the only place where they can set Nemesis's power free.
After a small battle between Ryuga, who wants Nemesis' power for himself and Rago, they kill Ryuga but are interrupted by the other Bladers. Because Ryuga gave all his power to Kenta, the ten Legendary Bladers had all the power they needed to create Zeus' barrier. This causes an earthquake which kills Pluto and Rago. However, Nemesis got free at last because a piece of Pluto's bey caused a hole to form in Zeus' barrier.
All of the Legendary Bladers are beaten leaving it all up to Gingka to win. Gingka finally defeats Nemesis after all Bladers over the world gave him their power. With all the power, Gingka and Pegasus fire a massive blast of light, which pierces through the God of Destruction, who finally falls into darkness and dies. After Rago’s death, a ray of light emerges from the pit, shooting up into the sky, and vanquishing the darkness, thus ending the Nemesis Crisis.
Personality[]
Rago was a very fierce, ruthless, sadistic, evil and cruel person. all he wanted was the world to be covered in darkness and did not care about killing to achieve that goal. He did not doubt himself and was always confident in Nemesis being its former keeper. He was not kind nor nice, as he did not contain any compassion or comfort. This was evident when he made a smirk as he watched Doji cruelly criticizing Ryuga for helping Nemesis' revival and when he egnored Madoka Amano's request to leave Kenta alone. He was even willing to let Kenta, a child, die after he stood up to him.
Trivia[]
- Alongside Gingka Hagane, Kyoya Tategami, Chris, King and Ryuga, Rago is one of the strongest and most powerful bladers in the entire franchise. This is due to the fact that he almost single-handedly destroyed the entire world as well as being able to beat Ryuga effortlessly. He also took the entire world's Blader Spirit to be defeated.
- Rago has a habit of calling people "worms". It is noteworthy to mention that Ryuga did the same when he was possessed by the dark power in Lightning L-Drago back in Beyblade Metal Fusion making Rago who Ryuga would have become had L-Drago taken over him fully.
