Rainier is a major villain in the video game Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness.
Biography[]
Past[]
In the past, Rainier was a treasure hunter who inherited her job from her family. She would eventually earn the favor of King Krichevskoy, not discriminating against Rainier for her job or lower class. This would earn her loyalty and she would become one of King Krichevskoy's vassals.
As his vassal, Rainier would be tasked with hunting treasure for the King as well as taking care of his infant son, Laharl. While taking care of Laharl, she would smother him at night with her bosom if he kept crying, giving him trauma towards women with large bosoms.
After King Krichevskoy died, she would leave the castle, not wanting to serve the next Overlord.
Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness[]
Eventually, Rainier, along with two of King Krichevskoy's former vassals, Grosso and Garungun the Destroyer, would form the Krichevskoy Group together so they could take over the Netherworld and rule it instead of Laharl who they deemed unworthy of his father's throne. Around the same time, they would notice that Yuie Flowers, which negatively affects demons, started to sprout in the Netherworld and viewed it as a crisis and a potential invasion from Celestia.
In order to beat Laharl, Rainier would search for a demon strong enough to do so, eventually finding Barbara, an extremely powerful demon who would follow any order given to her down to the letter.
After Grosso sent a challenge to Laharl, making him come to the Krichevskoy Group's base, Rainier would ambush Laharl, telling him about their past together that Laharl had forgotten due to being an infant at the time. Eventually, Laharl would challenge Raininer to a fight which she would lose before retreating.
When Rainier arrived at the main room of the base, along with Gross and Garungun, they would wait for Barbara to show up, having fought Laharl to buy time for her to arrive, only to find out that Barbara had been in the room since yesterday and didn't reveal herself since she wasn't ordered to.
The Krichevskoy Group ordered Barbara to fight Laharl but she would lose, partially because she wasn't ordered to win. After her defeat, the Krichevskoy Group would reveal the crisis that the Netherworld was dealing with and made Laharl promise to deal with it.
