Ralph D'Amico is a minor antagonist in the 2013 film Kick-Ass 2. He is a merciless crime lord who is the brother of Frank D'Amico and uncle of Chris D'Amico who took over as boss of the D'Amico crime family after his brother's death.
He was portrayed by Iain Glen, who also portrayed Dr. Alexander Isaacs in the Resident Evil film series, Manfred Powell in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, and Madoc Faulkner in Ripper Street.
Biography[]
Though imprisoned in the movie, he clearly has all the power over the D'Amico crime family and likely only sees being in prison as a minor inconvenience rather than an actual punishment. It's likely he could be broken out at any point when he deems the time has come. In the event of the death of his brother Frank D'Amico, he likely insisted to his sister-in-law Angie to keep Chris out of it and lay low pretending to have no knowledge of D'Amico's criminal enterprise. This resulted in Chris accidentally killing her in his anger though over her continuing to shelter him and it gave him the freedom to decide what he wanted to do, something Uncle Ralph did not foresee.
Ralph didn't like hearing his nephew is taking over the city as a "super-villain" with his own army. He requested Chris and Javier to visit him in prison to talk. But, he just wanted out his way and signals his lieutenant Louie to have Javier killed while having Chris listen to him die on Louie's cellphone. He tells Chris he'll handle the family business and he should go to college, believing he scared his nephew straight and is no longer an issue. However, Chris lied to his uncle and viewed the loss as an opportunity to finally form and unleash Toxic-Mega Cunts to the world.
