Rameses is a major antagonist in the 2011 video game Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, the third installment of the Uncharted video game series. An infamous pirate, Rameses always is ready for the hunt for treasure, and attempts to find the Iram of the Pillars by manipulating Nathan Drake.
He is voiced and motion-captured by Sayed Badreya, who also played Abu Bakaar in Iron Man.

Background[]
Not much is known about Rameses past, but he is an infamous pirate from Yemen who sails the Gulf of Aden with his crew. He and his crew made a good living raiding shipping vessels, and was later hired by Katherine Marlowe to kill Nathan Drake.
Drake's Deception[]
Rameses makes his first appearance in the eleventh chapter of the game, is seen in an outdoor cafe along with Katherine Marlowe and Talbot who had drugged Nathan Drake to take him with them to obtain information from the Atlantis of the Sands (also known as Iram of the Pillars), they discover that Victor Sullivan knows the Iram coordinates and they try to negotiate with Nathan to help them, then Talbot tells Marlowe that they located Victor on the other side of city, Talbot leaves and Marlowe tells Nathan that he was removed from the equation while Rameses stands up behind him letting Nathan know that they plan to kill him, Nathan pretends that there is nothing to do and then flips the table, runs away and begins to chase Talbot who tries to escape, Nathan chases Talbot through the city and finally catches up with him in the roof of a building, Nathan and Talbot start fighting hand to hand and Nathan manages to take the advantage but then Talbot starts laughing, Nathan turns around and sees that Rameses is behind him, Rameses hits Nathan with a piece of wood, rendering him unconscious and Rameses takes Nathan as a prisoner.
When Nathan wakes up he discovers that he is with Rameses and his pirates in Rameses' ship graveyard and tied to a chair, Rameses says that Marlowe paid him to kill Nathan but says that he is a good guy and saved Nathan's life, he states that he is the only friend Nathan has at that moment, Nathan asks Rameses if he thinks he owes him something and Rameses tells him that he is smart, that he likes him and that Nathan is a lot ahead of him, tells Nathan to tell him where Iram is, Nathan says that he doesn't know and Rameses gets upset, Nathan asks him that if he knew, he thinks it would be worth telling him which makes Ramesesse offend, Nathan reminds him that he is a pirate and Rameses tells him that he is also a good businessman and should give him credit, Rameses decides to try again and asks Nathan where Iram is, Nathan tells him that he can torture him all he wants, Rameses says fine and this surprises Nathan, Nathan tells him that he can't tell him what he doesn't know, Rameses tells him that maybe yes and tells him that they would see if Nathan's friend wants to cooperate, Nathan asks him who he is referring to and Rameses tells him that he means Victor, Rameses says that he doesn't want to do it since with Victor's age it may be too much for him, Rameses walks towards the exit and Nathan tells him to wait but Rameses tells him no, that he left him no other option and they will see if Victor values his own life more, Nathan tells Rameses to leave Victor alone, Rameses says goodbye and Nathan yells at him not to touch Victor, Nathan is left with Rameses' henchmen who plan to torture him.
Rameses' henchmen begin to beat Nathan but he manages to free himself and confronts them, Nathan manages to kill them and escapes, he advances through the ship cemetery killing the henchmen along the way, then he reaches a communications tower on a stranded ship from which he can see the dock and sees Rameses' cruise ship: The Seaward, along with several small ships, Nathan checks the tower and sees that it is a mess, nothing works but he finds some binoculars and uses them, then he sees Rameses with his henchmen, they go to the ship and Nathan believes that Victor is there so he tries to get to the ship, Nathan continues advancing, killing the henchmen and manages to reach the docks and sees that Rameses is boarding a small ship to get to his cruise ship, a storm starts and Nathan fights with Rameses' henchmen, Nathan manages to get on a ship and gets rid of the henchmen, sinking the ships and reaching the cruise ship.
Nathan manages to get aboard and begins to make his way while he confronting Ramses' henchmen, on the way, Nathan hears Rameses telling his henchmen over the ship's speakers to take Victor to the hold so Nathan tries to get there, Nathan makes his way through the ship, eliminate almost all of Rameses' henchmen and manages to reach the warehouse and finds a figure with a bag over the head and believes it to be Victor.
Nathan runs towards the figure and talks to it, believing it to be Victor, but as he gets closer he feels that there is something strange, he takes the bag from it and discovers that it is Victor's clothes stuffed with vegetables, Nathan realizes that Victor is not there and then Rameses and his minions appear, Rameses tells Nathan that he caused him a lot of trouble and promises him that they are about to end the situation, Nathan thinks that Rameses never had Victor and asks if it's true, Rameses tells him no, that he lied and reminds him that he is a pirate, he orders one of his henchmen to tie Nathan up but Nathan headbutts him, takes a grenade, kicks the henchman, throws the grenade into a large gas container and shoots Ramses in the stomach, the grenade explodes and the explosion blows a hole in the ship and the ship begins to sink while Ramses is helped by his henchmen to leave the room.
Nathan confronts the remaining henchmen and the cruise ship capsizes, killing all the pirates and eliminating them completely, Nathan makes his way through the sinking ship until he reaches the ballroom, Nathan sees the exit and almost manages to get off the ship when Ramses finds him (almost dead from the shot), Rameses curses in Arabic and tells Nathan that they will meet in Hell, calls him habibi and shoots at the glass ceiling allowing the water to enter faster, Ramses is crushed by the water, drowning and being sent to Hell while Nathan manages to escape the ship alive just before it sinks.
Multiplayer[]
Although unofficial, in both the multiplayer modes for Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception and Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Rameses appears as a playable character.

- In one of the rooms inside his ship, there is several weapons that are never used in the game. These might have been used in a scrapped boss fight.
- Ramses has a Rolls-Royce Phantom.
- His name means "born of Ra" in Egyptian, and is also the name of one of the Egyptian pharaohs.
- He is the second antagonist in the series to kill themselves to try to kill Nathan, the first being Harry Flynn in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.
