Hi. This is Thesecret1070. I am an admin of this site. Edit as much as you wish, but one little thing... If you are going to edit a lot, then make yourself a user and login. Other than that, enjoy Villains Wiki!!!
Note: This page only covers Ramiro in his villainous depiction in the third season's first half, which mainly revolves around his betrayal against the Jam & Roller team.

Ramiro: Honestly guys, I can't believe what she did. Matteo: Oh, not again. Nico: Not again what? Jim: You're so annoying, Ramiro. Ramiro: I can't believe Luna didn't want to join the Red Sharks. Luna: You think I should've changed teams? Ramiro: No, I'm not saying that. What I'm saying is that you shouldn't have thought twice about being part of an elite team, winning competitions, you know what that means? Luna: But winning is not the most important thing. Jim: Exactly, skating is about having fun, enjoying it. Not winning an award. Ramiro: It is one thing for you to consider skating a hobby. Now, another is that if you want to become a professional skater, I think that... you should have a more professional attitude. Yam: Excuse me, but I disagree, if you don't have fun, you're not getting anywhere. Ramiro: Having fun is not enough. We're talking about a discipline that requires a hundred percent of commitment. In order to succeed in life, you have to give everything. Luna: All right, wait a second, I am committed to this. I don't understand why are you telling me this if skating is my life, my passion! What is wrong with you? Why are you saying this? Ramiro: It doesn't seem. Otherwise, you wouldn't miss the opportunity to be part of a real team. Matteo: We are a real team. We don't need the Red Sharks to do what we love. Ramiro: Come on guys, open your eyes! Because of this, now we can't even set foot on the rink. Jim: This is not her fault. Yam: Luna shouldn't give in to Gary's blackmail, don't you see? Ramiro: And why not? It was a bit of a sacrifice on our behalf, which for sure means thinking about your friends. Luna: Do you really believe I don't think about you? Ramiro: No. I didn't say that. What I'm saying is that you should think twice about Gary's proposal. All right? Because that'd help all of us. I think you shouldn't be so selfish, Luna. That's it.

~ Ramiro criticizing Luna for refusing to join the Red Sharks team, which foreshadows his suspicious betrayal
Ramiro Ponce is one of the deuteragonists in Soy Luna. While normally a selfish yet heroic character, throughout the first half of Season 3, his ambition of becoming a professional skater causes him to turn on his own team and join the Red Sharks, costing him both his friends and girlfriend. Thus, he becomes one of the four secondary antagonists (alongside Benicio, Rey and Maggie) in Season 3A.
Ramiro is not a villain in the first two seasons. Instead, he is a secondary protagonist with anti-heroic qualities because of his arrogance, selfishness, self-demand and conceited behavior, even when it comes to intimidating Jim and Yam in their Open Music performances. He dreams of becoming a professional rapper and skater. However, as the second season progresses, he begins to show a more caring and soft side, improving not only as a skater, but as a person as well. He learns to help other people out in their problems, which is shown when he tries to stop a fight between Simón and Matteo by reminding them they are on the same team, and if there's a problem, they have to figure it out by talking. He even admitted to being nervous before the RodaFest began.
Season 3[]
Part 1[]
At first, it seems that everything starts out just fine: A fully changed Ramiro returns from Cancún with his friends, having started to happily date Yam and attends Luna's party at the Benson mansion after discovering the truth of her origins. However, it all hits rock bottom when Gary announces that Jam & Roller does not exist anymore and that a new team has arised: Red Sharks. Ámbar and Emilia (and later Benicio) are introduced as the new teammates. It even gets worse when Gary forbids them from using the rink, claiming that it is only open for the Red Sharks to train, and Luna declines Gary's offer to join the rival team, which causes Ramiro to doubt Luna's devotion to the skating and accuse her of passing up an opportunity that could benefit her friends, despite Luna's and the others' objections that she has no reason to give in to Gary's blackmails.
Later on, Ramiro secretly auditions for the Red Sharks wearing a white mask. When ordered to take it off, Ramiro initally hesitates but quickly gives in and reveals himself, to the great shock of his friends. As a result of this, Yam breaks up with Ramiro and his friends believe that he has betrayed the Jam & Roller team. He even performs with the Red Sharks at the Open Music, which leaves them uncomfortable. Although most of his former friends (including Matteo) start doubting their friendship with him, Jim initally seems to be the only one to comprehend Ramiro's suprise-announced decision. However, she also distances herself from Ramiro after he records a video of Jam & Roller skating in the rink. Having felt neglected by his friends, Ramiro ignores Luna's attempts to make him change his mind and shows the video to Ámbar, who then shows it to Gary. By then, Ramiro has been fully influenced by the Red Sharks' behavior and starts acting like them, returning to his egotistical and competitive personality from the first season, and causing all of his friends to consequently turn their backs on him. Even Matteo ends his friendship with Ramiro.
Near the end of the first part, however, we can briefly witness the return of the good Ramiro when he helps Matteo unlock Emilia's cellphone and send him the entire proof video of his kiss with Emilia, who showed a photo of it at the Open Music as a public humiliation, in order to exonerate his name and prove himself to the resentful Luna. He cannot believe how unprofessional Emilia was and how she managed to ruin his life. However, he makes it clear to Matteo that when the Red Shark Festival begins, he will have no mercy on him or his friends. The next day, he witnesess, along with his teammates, the crowd's abrupt departure from the event, as a performance of Jam & Roller (who were banned from attending) was taking place outside, being recorded and going viral. As a result, the outraged Gary coldly scolds his team, accusing them of being unprofessional and only thinking about themselves. While Jam & Roller was active in posting skating promotion, the Red Sharks did nothing that could even boost their stardom. Gary thought that he could trust them, but they had proved him wrong. He warns them that there will be consequences of the incident. Ramiro asks what does he mean about that, but Gary does not respond and leaves.
Part 2[]
For this part, Ramiro feels genuinely remorseful for abandoning the Jam & Roller for the Red Sharks (even when Gary disbands the latter team), and tries in various episodes to prove himself and earn their respect and trust back. He starts by visiting Matteo at the hospital after his accident and recalling the good times he has had with Jam & Roller, attending the Blake South College, singing at previous Open Musics, and joining the Adrenalines with Matteo, despite Simón and Pedro being less than pleased over his presence. He even disagreed with the recent evil schemes of Ámbar, Emilia and Benicio as part of their revenge against Jam & Roller for "ruining" their festival, despite Gary and the Red Sharks themselves being the true culprits. Ámbar and Benicio falsify Felipe Mendevilla's number out of jealousy for choosing Luna over them, and Ramiro does nothing about it until after the Flash Open when he admits the truth to Luna but had nothing to do with this (although she was mad at Simon because this was kept from her), whilst Emilia and Benicio recorded Delfi and Jazmin, exposing them as liars. Unlike the first attempt, Ramiro (without a second thought) told everything to both girls who first suspected Pedro, since he was the only one who overheard their plan. He also sympathized with his friends' sadness after realizing that Felipe's proposal was only for Luna and that she rejected it, out of loyalty and humbleness to her team.
Ramiro asks Jam & Roller for a second chance, yet some of them, even Jim (who barely recognizes that he changed a bit) and Yam (who is still mad at him), are reluctant to trust him after everything he has done, so Matteo decides that they will debate if he is allowed to return or not. Yam argues that he recorded their skating in the rink and gave them away to Gary, with Delfi adding that he (apart from Simón) knew about the fake number scheme and concealed the information. Matteo, Luna and Simon stand up for him: Ramiro just couldn't bring himself to turn on the Red Sharks that easily (despite Yam saying that she would've done that in his place). What matters is that he finally told the truth, although too late, but he did and that we can make mistakes and everyone should deserve a second chance.
After a lot of thought, everyone seems to be okay with Ramiro rejoining the Jam & Roller and they joyfully accept him back, alongside Juliana, who has returned after being away for a few days following her dismissal. However, for a temporary period of time, Yam is the only one who refuses to forgive Ramiro, despite Jim's best efforts trying to reassure and prove her wrong, to no avail. In addition, Yam sarcastically claims "Oh, poor Ramiro, he regrets everything he has done and all of a sudden he's very nice to everyone", and cruelly mocking his show of redemption as a "victim performance". Whenever Yam is rehearsing for her audition, Ramiro tries to compliment and give her some feedback, but he is only met with very harsh and cruel responses from her. Even at a skating rehearsal for a casting, when Juliana asks both Ramiro and a reluctant Yam to partake in a romantic choreography (to which Luna amusingly pokes her at), she neglects any connection with him, prompting her to choose Simón and Jazmín, who fail as well (mainly because of the latter), then Luna and Matteo who give up an impressive love choreography that is met with an applause from their friends, in spite of the current state of their relationship. Hopeless, Ramiro believes that she will never forgive him. Later, Yam receives some unexpected news : Her audition was pushed back for the same day as the casting. Yam has no choice but to drop out of the casting and do the audition as she is one step ahead of fulfilling her dream. Ramiro asks her to think about her friends and how it will affect them, something that ignites Yam's fury, and leads her to snap back at Ramiro by reminding him that he thought of no one when he joined the Red Sharks, leaving him dejected. Yam then returns from her audition, and an excited Ramiro runs up, hoping that she did incredible. Yam laughs at that and answers that she did pretty well, so Ramiro says she now understands him because it is difficult to choose between your friends and the dream of your life. Yam still disagrees with this when Jim again tries to convince her to forgive Ramiro. Near the end of the series, Yam finally does forgive Ramiro after she is accepted into the musical school and apologizes for being too hard on him, now understanding the similarity of her situation to Ramiro's as they both had to choose between the team and their future.
Personality[]
Ramiro is very self demanding. He can skate, dance, and sing very well, and he knows it. He wants to do everything well, and when he does not, he can not keep his frustration in check. Ramiro can't admit to any of his mistakes, and tries to blame his mistakes on the people around him. In other people's eyes he can be seen as arrogant and unsympathetic. Ramiro dreams of being a star, and works hard, hoping one day his dream will come true.
Ramiro is the second main character in the series itself to become a villain out of an ambition, but later redeem himself, preceded by Matteo Balsano.
Despite joining the Red Sharks, fans sympathized with Ramiro as all he ever did was to think about his future as a professional skater, but his friends, including his then-girlfriend Yam, believed he was being selfish and called him a traitor for doing that, with the fans pointing out how immature it was for them not to support his decisions.
