Ramon Reyes is the secondary antagonist of the S.W.A.T. episode Cuchillo. He is the cousin and right-hand man of Los Angeles gangster Cuchillo. When Cuchillo is arrested Ramon breaks him out of prison and helps him in his plot to get revenge on the witness who got him convicted.

Biography

Ramon and Cuchillo were partners in crime during Cuchillo's reign of terror in Boyle Heights, during which they extorted and murdered people with impunity. Cuchillo was eventually captured but Ramon avoided arrest and watched as his cousin was found guilty of murder and sexual assault.

In 2017, Ramon disguises himself as a sheriff's deputy and infiltrates the East Los Angeles Courthouse, where Cuchillo is about to be sentenced. As Cuchillo and three other inmates are led out of the elevator, Ramon arrives and kills the officer guarding them. He gives Cuchillo a pistol and the two of them shoot their way out of the courthouse leaving multiple people dead or wounded.

Cuchillo and Ramon flee to a cabin owned by Cuchillo's aunt. Ramon says that he has paid a smuggler to take the two of them to Mexico that evening. Cuchillo refuses to leave as he has two pieces of unfinished business to take care of in LA. He orders Ramon to kill Sofia Jimenez, who testified at his trial and put him in prison.

Ramon arrives at the Jimenez house to kill Sofia and her family and blasts the front door open with a shotgun. SWAT officers Jim Street and Chris Alonso, having been alerted by the family dog to Ramon's approach, immediately grab him and he is subdued after a brief fight. Street goes into a back room to reassure the family that they are safe as Ramon is taken into custody.
