Ran Otake is a major antagonist in the Witch Watch series, serving as the main antagonist of the Autumn Storms Arc and the secondary antagonist of the Day of the Disaster Arc. He is the son of Mogari Otake and Uzu.
He is a Warlock. He is a Undying Witchupon having inherited the magic of his mother's.
Biography[]
Ran Otake was born during year 1860. He is the son of Mogari Otake and Uzu. After Uzu gave birth to Ran Otake, she passed away. Uzu grew up alongside his father Mogari Otake. However, Mogari Otake had a accident in the mountains, which left Ran Otake parentless. Ran Otake continued living his life inside of the mountains, until he became an adult and went inside of the town. In the town, Ran Otake lived there for about 90 years.
During Ran Otake's adulthood, he ends up meeting Reiji Otogi, and Ran Otake requests a battle against Reiji. The two end up meeting Morihito, who trained Ogre Qigong. Ran Otake would reside in Reiji Otogi's location after of which he left, without paying for the time he left at Reiji's location. Afterwards, a man ends up contacting Ran Otake's dye to Ran's special abilities. The man requests Ran Otake to resurrect Jura.
After years have passed, Ran Otake and Morihito turned each other's enemies and had a battle between one another.

Ran is a morally complex individual shaped by a long life of solitude due to havin long lifespan. He shows ocassional moments of gratitude. But he is actually shown to care not much about others.
