Randy is the main antagonist of the Cars on the Road episode, "Lights Out". He is the receptionist and founder of Destiny Hotel and known by the other workers for scaring off guests.
He was voiced by the series creator Steve Purcell who voices Gerald and Count Spatula in Cars: The Videogame, Cars: Mater-National Championship and Cars: Race-O-Rama, Sandy Dunes in The Radiator Springs 500½ and Wraith Rod in the same episode.
Role[]
In the second episode, McQueen and Mater both head up to the entrance of the hotel and are creepily greeted by Randy, the founder of Destiny Hotel. Randy greets the duo in a menacing fashion. In response, Mater says "nope" multiple times with McQueen not being fazed by Randy in anyway. Randy soon lets the two into the hotel with McQueen describing that it has vintage charm. Mater is creeped out by the whole decor of the hotel as Randy begins to slowly explain how everything goes for it. Randy specifically states that the check-out time for all guests is precisely at noon and with thunder breaking. Mater simply gulps in response.
In the end of the episode, Randy is revealed to be one of the ghosts.
Personality[]
Randy is a scariest founder who invited McQueen and Mater to sleep in his hotel, he appears as a ghost and he made a sadistic chuckle.

- Coincidentally, Randy has the same model as Steve Hearsell, who is named after Steve Purcell, Randy's voice actor.
- Randy strongly resembles a 1960s Cadillac Hearse.
- Randy's voice is very similar to the Ghost Host from the Disney Park Haunted Mansion attraction.
