Rava the Destroyer is a minor antagonist that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog film series produced by Paramount Pictures and its spin-offs. He is an evil lizard warrior who lives in the Marble Zone.
Biography[]
Sonic the Hedgehog 2: The Official Movie Pre-Quill[]
Rava made his debut appearance in ''Two For The Road'' after Tails exits planet Mobius (Sonic's home planet) and enters a planet named the Marble Zone, and suddenly encounters Rava who aggressively questions his name and calls him an intruder. However, Tails flew over him with ease causing the lizard to angrily curse him.
Appeareance[]
Rava is a tall, muscular, humanoid lizard with a large tail, a long tongue, legs which bend backwards, his feet have only 2 pointy toes, and pale green, scaly skin with some pale light green scales on parts of his body. And for his attire, he wears a dark khaki shirt with baggy sleeves that go down to their elbows, a light khaki shoulder bag, and a dark brown, hooded cape. His concept artworks are largely the same.
Personality[]
Although most of Ravas backround and life is unknown, he appears to be very aggressive and territorial, threatening anyone who comes to his planet. Rava also appears to speak in a melodramatic manner, saying things such as "Curse you!", shown when Tails encountered him on his mission to find Sonic the Hedgehog. He is also really entitled to what he owns and what he is, and will turn furious if someone were to intrude his domain.

Rava possesses active powers over chaos energy.
Trivia[]
- He was originally created for the Sonic the Hedgehog original film. The character was designed by concept artist and illustrator Bayard Wu, whom gave them the name "Rava", who was originally described in the U.S Copyright Records for Sonic the Hedgehog as a "Lizard Warrior who wants to steal Sonic's power and take over the universe." However for unknown reasons, Rava and his story got cut from the final product and his role was replaced by the Echidna Tribe who wanted to steal Sonics power.
- Despite being scrapped from the film, he made his debut appearence in the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie Pre-Quill in ''Two For The road''.
- Although he was planned to encounter Sonic and Longclaw in the first film, its unknown if they know anything about each other in the final film series.
- According to Tails, civilized beings seem to avoid visiting his planet due to Rava's ownership of it as he would threaten anyone who trespasses his domain, inferring he is a dictator of his location, and he is dangerous. Despite that, its unknown if he rules the entire planet or not.
- He lives in a location named ''Marble Zone'' which is based on the second levels location of the same name from Sonic the Hedgehog (1991).
- Intentional or not, he shares similarities to Spelunk from the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog televison series who also lived in the Marble Zone in said media, and when introduced, he started off as hostile, aggressive, and protective towards his home when he encountered Sonic and Tails, although unlike Rava the Destroyer, Spelunk later realized the error of his ways and befriended the two, while Rava appears to lack any redeeming qualities.
