Raven was a convict who was taken to the Mining Colony to mine ore with the other convicts. II. King Rhobar sent his thirteen most powerful mages to create a magical barrier so that none of the convicts could escape. However, the barrier became much larger because the power of an ancient archdemon, The Sleeper, upset the balance of magic and the mages were also trapped. This distracted the king's people and it was then that a convict named Gomez sparked an uprising with his minions. The convict killed the king's men and Gomez with his minions took power in the Colony. Those who took an active part in the uprising became ore barons and guards. The king offered a agreement to Gomez, because he absolutely needed the ore to continue the war against the orcs. Gomez then gained enormous power, as even the king himself depended on his will. Raven also became an ore baron, Gomez’s right hand and the second most powerful man in the Colony. Raven was an important man in the Old Camp because if anyone wanted to talk to Gomez he needed Raven's permission. He even gave Gomez's orders to the people. One day a nameless convict arrived at the Colony, who had good relations with all three camps. One of the most important guards in the Old Camp, Thorus, allowed him to enter the castle. As he entered the ore barons' building, he first met Raven. Raven politely received the nameless convict and considered it a useful man. He took it to Gomez, but told the convict not to touch anything. Gomez believed he would be a useful man and therefore accepted his services and made him a shadow. After that, Raven immediately gave him a task. He wanted to know what the members of the Sect Camp were up to. He believed the Brotherhood was becoming less and less reliable and wanted information. The nameless hero went to the Sect Camp, where it turned out they had allegedly found a way to contact their god, the Sleeper. This, in turn, required a magic potion, a focus stone, and a magic book, the Almanac. The hero told the information to Raven that the gurus want the minecrawler qeen’s eggs and then Cor Kalom, the alchemist of the Sect Camp can brew the potion. Raven thanked for the report, but gave no more orders to the hero. The hero then helped the other two camps, who finally wanted to get out of the Colony. When the hero helped the water magicians in the New Camp. there was a serious problem in the Colony.
The Old Mine's collapse was a very serious problem for the ore barons, because since they could not extract more ore, the king was not obliged to fulfill the wishes of the barons. Gomez, Raven, and Bartholo in particular were severely affected by the case, as they were no longer the most powerful men in the Colony. Gomez then decided to do his best to retain his power and ordered one of his elite warrior, Jackal to capture the Free Mine. Jackal set off with a dozen guards. The fire mages resisted the attack, so Gomez ordered the ore barons, including Raven, to kill the mages. The barons killed them all. Jackal and the guards killed everyone in the Free Mine. Gomez then locked himself in his castle and called the nameless hero and his friend Milten, who was the only firemage in the Colony, a traitor. The other camps quickly became aware of the case. The nameless hero thought he would not leave it at that and punish the ore barons for their actions. With his friend Gorn, he recaptured the Free Mine and killed Jackal and the guards. He then obtained a rune and he successfully teleport to the castle. He was already strong enough and he had the legendary sword Uriziel and the ore armor. When he was in the castle he killed Bartholo and his guards. Then Raven ran over to stop the hero. The nameless hero severely wounded Raven and killing the other ore barons Scar, Artho, and Gomez himself. Raven dying and offered his soul to Beliar with his last strength. The evil god accepted his offer and resurrected him. Raven, on the other hand, kept his promise and dedicated his life to the service of the dark god. From here, he began to change completely.

After the banished of the Sleeper, Beliar's anger became enormous. The Dark God made Raven his chosen one and commanded him to find a mighty artifact, the Claw of Beliar. Raven led a group of former convicts out of the Colony. However, the other bandits also saw that something was wrong. Raven did not tell anyone the truth and what his purpose was. The two leader of the bandits after Raven was Bloodwyn and Thorus. After they got out of the Valley, Raven started doing business with pirates. They were taken to the ancient land of Jharkendar, which could almost only be reached by boat or ship. Raven ordered one of his men, Dexter, to kidnap as many people as possible from Khorinis. Moreover, a merchant Fernando from the upper quarter of the town of Khorinis sold weapons to Dexter's bandits. Revan and Dexter were increasingly threatening the island of Khorinis, more and more people were missing and the bandits were getting more and better weapons. However, Beliar warned Raven that the nameless hero was alive and with Xardas. Raven ordered Dexter and other bandits to find him and kill him. Raven then set out for Jharkendar with his most important men and some bandits. Meanwhile, the nameles hero bring order in Khorinis. Lots of swords engraved with a letter F and as well as a note on which the merchant himself wrote the quantity of the consignment and his signature was also there. He also found a ring at one of the bandits, which also belonged to the merchant. Fernando was immediately arrested. Later, the hero found Dexter, who told him that Raven wanted the hero’s death and if he didn’t kill him, they would all die. By this time Raven was already far away in the land of Jharkendar. The nameless hero and the leader of the pirates, Captain Greg killed the bandits. The hero found a letter from Dexter proving that Raven and he had kidnapped people from Khorinis. Weak earthquakes occurred in the area of Khorinis at that time. After minor disputes, the nameless hero joined Saturas and the other water mages. They managed to open a secret portal that took them to the land of Jharkhendar.
Earthquakes have been much stronger in the land of Jharkendar. According to Saturas, the earthquakes were because Adanos temple was "defending itself. The gates of the temple were sealed with strong magic, and the earthquakes are because someone wanted to break up the defense of the temple with evil incantations and spells. Raven then performed a ritual where he sacrificed half a dozen men to receive the power of the guardians of the dead. He carried out excavations with the abducted people. They found a huge gold mine. But Raven didn't care. After further excavations, a secret passage was found, which led to a grave. Raven, with his right hand Bloodwyn immediately hurried to the grave. Fortuno said Raven is looking for a powerful artifact that is in the temple with its previous owner. Raven used Fortuno to make elixirs for him and he deciphered to him the meaning of the tablets of stone. After Raven was able to translate stone tablets, he put a spell of forgetfulness on Fortuno to remember nothing. After this in the gold mine the hero killed Bloodwyn and freed the abducted people, but it was too late. Raven got into the temple with one of his man and he didn't need much to get the miracle weapon anymore. The nameless hero summoned the spirit of Quarhodron, from whom he learned the temple password after a test. The hero went back to Saturas, who was terrified because it was then that he realized that the mighty weapon that was in the temple was the Claw of Beliar. Raven easily solved the first three traps with the stone tablets. At the fourth, he found the ghost of Rhadames, but did not ask for his help.Raven activated the trap with a man of his own. The bandit died immediately and Raven entered the chamber where the Claw of Beliar was. Raven took the powerful artifact and then knelt down to pray to Beliar to prepare for the desecration of the temple. The hero stop Raven, who was absolutely sure the hero had no chance against him and the power of the Claw of Beliar. However, the hero defeated him again and this time permanently. ~ Skip about Raven. |
Raven was the perfect opposite of the nameless hero. As an ore baron, he was very arrogant, uppish, and disrespectful. He appeared to me more civilized than Gomez and pretended to be kind and helpful, but he really only respected Gomez. In Gothic 2: Night of Raven, Raven showed more of his true colors when he became much more ruthless, brusque, dishonest, and merciless. He did not respect or like anyone at all. He used people entirely as a tool and he didn’t care how many died. He became extremely scornful and rigid as he believed his soul was very precious for Beliar accepting it and bringing him back to life. The power of the Claw of Beliar intoxicated Raven, who became incredible arrogant and overweening. He believed that nothing could defeat him and that he leading dragons could bring eternal darkness into the world.
