History[]
Background[]
Raven was born several years before the apocalypse. During her teenage years, she became a gothic girl, passionate and skilled in tarot cards. At some point, she met Kelly, and soon they came to see each other as soulmates. They had planned to go to their school dance together, but Destiny, a popular girl, told the principal that they intended to do drugs. Because of this accusation, they were not allowed to enter.
In 1998, in San Jose, teenage Raven drove to the party of a popular girl at their school, driving around in her car and knocking over trash cans. There, they noticed Destiny cheating on her boyfriend with two other boys. Raven called her a hypocrite, implying that there was some trouble between them. She decided to scare her and asked her girlfriend Kelly to help her with her plan. At home, Raven drew the Death card using Tarot cards and faked a possession with ketchup to convince her. She tricked them and her boyfriend into believing she was pregnant by someone else. Later, Kelly painted her room red and installed voodoo dolls, scaring Destiny. While trying to escape to the roof of the house, Kelly tripped, hit her head, and plunged into the pool. Raven discovered her and screamed, dropping her cards, the Devil card appearing on top.
After the apocalypse, she became the ruler of New San Francisco, an insider city in the divided states of America. She built a system where the city would be controlled by other women pretending to be her, like Alpha Raven, who was in charge of Kelly's Bar downtown. Kelly was in a coma and left in an ambulance in her garage.
Upon learning of the Calypso Tournament, Raven orders Alpha Raven to choose someone to drive her car during the competition.
After Mike becomes a citizen of New San Francisco, he meets the real Raven, who informs him of the tournament. He attempts to escape multiple times, but fails, prompting Raven to assign him a security detail.
Season 2[]
After a Milkman fit to be her driver in the tournament was captured, she dropped the charade and had him train by playing racing videogames. One day, he managed to escape the city by stealing the ambulance, making sure to remove Kelly safely from it beforehand. She ordered her men to go after him, but their cars were destroyed by the Dolls.
Personality[]
Raven was a cunning and manipulative person who enjoyed being in control. She was also sadistic and cruel, and had trouble making friends.
