Raven is a minor antagonist in Erin Hunter's Warriors book series, serving as a major antagonist in A Vision of Shadows arc and a minor antagonist in super editions Hawkwing's Journey and Onestar's Confession.
She is one of Darktail's most trusted cats and a high-ranking member of the Kin, who assisted in taking over ShadowClan and after the Kin's defeat, fled the territories. She later briefly returned alongside Nettle to help kidnap his kits, but was defeated and forced to retreat.
Biography[]
A Vision of Shadows[]
Raven first appears during discussion between her, Darktail and Rain regarding their upcoming journey into the Clans. While Darktail is confident about it, Raven is doubtful, bringing up the topic of the dangers of Thunderpaths that will await them. Upon being reassured by her leader that Thunderpaths hold no fear for them, she walks away. Later she attends a meeting which will decide on what to do with Alderpaw after meeting Mistfeather. The black she-cat remains distrustful of the Clan cats and adds that it's better safe than sorry, regarding their true intentions. After the meeting she is guarding the journeying cats, which prevents them from making any escape plans, but falls asleep, thus allowing the Clan cats to sneak past her next morning.
Raven participates in Darktail's rogues' attack on WindClan patrol but following ThunderClan's intervention they are forced to leave. She is later introduced to Violetkit by Needlepaw when the young she-cats visit the rogues' camp near ShadowClan's territory. Some time later, she and Rain save the she-kit from an owl and Raven is compassionate towards her, offering Violetkit to stay with the rogues until the next day. The next morning the black she-cat snarls at the kit by accident after being woken up and rouses Darktail up to take Violetkit back to ShadowClan. Following days later, when the rogues attempt to join ShadowClan, they bring prey as offerings, with Raven having a plump thrush. They get rejected however, which sparks an argument among ShadowClan cats. Several moons later, as Darktail's group arrives to ShadowClan with their leader challenging Rowanstar's leadership, Raven is among them.
Following the rogues' group renaming to "the Kin", Raven is present during Max, Zelda and Loki's oath of loyalty. When the kittypets become worried about the blood pact that is required, the black rogue assures them that it won't hurt and it requires only few drops. Afterwards she attends a battle meeting regarding the takeover of RiverClan's territory and after the successful attack, she's in charge of a patrol that discovers Mothwing and Alderheart sneaking onto their territory to get some herbs. Despite her polite tone she remains harsh and requests to know what the two are doing here. Upon being answered the rogue snorts in contempt, before explaining that the Kin follows no rules but their own and asks Needletail if she agrees with her reply. However, Needletail backs the Clan cats up, which initially infuriates Raven, although the black she-cat allows the two to pass after Needletail claims that one of them could teach Puddleshine about the herbs. As the four of them make it to the camp, Raven supervises Alderheart during his lesson with Puddleshine. Later on once the medicine cats left, she and Sleekwhisker herd the RiverClan prisoners back into their den and Darktail reveals to Violetpaw that Raven already told him about Needletail giving away the herbs to medicine cats. He then calls her, Roach and Nettle on to feast and after Violetpaw's scheme of drugging Darktail and his followers with poppyseeds hidden in their food is exposed, she and Roach drag the apprentice towards the lake.
Once there, the two hold Violetpaw back as Darktail tortures Needletail, much to their delight. When Darktail gives Needletail a choice to kill Violetpaw herself, he nods to Raven to let go of the apprentice, however the silver-gray she-cat instead attacks the two rogues, startling them. While Darktai joins Roach and recently arrived Sleekwhisker in fighting Needletail, Raven chases after Violetpaw, but ultimately fails to catch her. She later participates in Darktail's raid on WindClan and fights Twigpaw. During the Clans' final clash with the Kin, Raven is seen fleeing after Darktail's call for retreat.
Several days later, Raven is revealed to have returned to the lake territories with Nettle and conspired with Sleekwhisker to help them steal the former's kits. When Jacques brings in the search patrol to the hollow in the pool, Violetshine recognises her and recalls in her head how the black she-cat held her back when Darktail tortured Needletail by the lake. As the fight for the kits breaks out, Raven attempts to chase after Tawnypelt and Yarrowleaf alongside Susan, but Violetshine stops them, clawing the black rogue. Enraged, she hisses that Darktail should have killed her when he had the chance, but Violetshine claws her shoulder. Raven lunges for the latter's throat, but gets thrown backwards and after both kittypets have been driven away by Tawnypelt, she and Sleekwhisker flee into the undergrowth, never to be seen again.

Raven is a long-furred black she-cat.
Personality[]
While initially caring and protective, Raven reveals herself to be a cruel, cold and sadistic cat. Loyal to Darktail until his death, she was one of the cats he held in higher regard, often discussing matters with him.
