Ravonna Renslayer, born as Rebecca Tourminet, is one of the two secondary antagonists (alongside Miss Minutes) of the Disney+ Marvel Cinematic Universe series Loki. She is the judge of the Time Variance Authority, an organization dedicated with maintaining the Sacred Timeline, with her being tasked with prosecuting any variants caught by its minutemen.
She is portrayed by Gugu Mbatha-Raw, who also played Seladon in The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.
Personality[]
Ravonna is loyal, blindly following the TVA and its mission, despite not knowing who is behind the organization. Although she is in a position of power, she was unaware about the Time-Keepers being mindless androids. When the truth about the Time-Keepers is revealed and she finds out that she has been lied to, she reacts wanting to remain in power, preventing others from learning the truth, and trying to figure out who really is behind the TVA. Ravonna also believes that what she is doing is not evil, and that the mission is for the greater good.[1]
However this is due to a delusional side that causes her to perceive her selfish and cruel actions as justifiable, wallowing in self-pity as a means of guilting others and attempting to manipulate the situation in her favor. This is likely due to the fact that she doesn't want to accept that she is a terrible person, that enjoys tormenting others and has no real loyalty to anyone aside from herself, willing to suppress information that could expose the TVA as corrupt.

Background[]
Ravonna was originally a vice principal from Fremont, Ohio named Rebecca Tourminet in 2018, before being taken away by the TVA. During her time at the TVA, she became a Hunter before being promoted to a judge. She was also the very Hunter who led the Minutemen unit that apprehended Sylvie before she escaped, and has been trying to hunt her down ever since.
Loki[]
Ravonna first appears in the TVA courtroom to prosecute Variant L1130 of Loki Laufeyson. He is found guilty, but before he can be executed, Agent Mobius intervenes and offers to recruit him onto the case of catching Sylvie.
Due to his attempts to escape the TVA, Ravonna is distrustful of Loki and has very little faith in Mobius' beliefs. Fortunately, Mobius and Loki successfully manage to track down Sylvie, only for her overpower them and "bomb" the Sacred Timeline as a distraction to reach the Time-Keepers, prompting Ravonna to prune her personally.
When Sylvie and Loki are eventually caught, Ravonna also prunes Hunter C-20, since her being mentally hijacked by Sylvie unearthed memories of her before become a minuteman. Mobius discovers of this and helps Loki escape, only for Ravonna to stop them, with the minutemen also pruning Mobius under her orders.
She takes Loki and Sylvie to be executed in front of the Time-Keepers, only for the two to be freed by Hunter B-15, whom Sylvie had revealed her past to earlier. Loki and Sylvie subdue Ravonna and the minutemen and decapitate the main Time-Keeper, revealing the three to be robotic decoys.
Just as Loki attempts to admit his love for Sylvie, Ravonna prunes him, causing an enraged Sylvie to overpower her and order her to tell her everything, unaware of the fact that Loki has been transported to the Void.

- Ravonna is from the 40th century and not from the 20th century.
- She is the daughter of King Carelius. Carelius was the last civilization not conquered by Kang in that time period.
- Ravonna is the wife of Kang the Conqueror. It's possible a variant of Ravonna is one of the judges of Kang's TVA.
- Her legal name is Ravonna Renslayer, while her alias is Rebecca Tourminet. Though in the MCU this is reversed.
