Histories[]
Origin[]
The RayRays have been created as mascots by the American film director Raymond S. Persi for a musical band. The RayRays' costumes appear to be fairly simple. Fully black clothing, with massive fake heads with black hair and big black eyes. According to Raymond, the RayRays' costumes suddenly have been stolen by two unidentified people. After which, the creepypasta video "freak soup guy" emerged on YouTube in the early 2005s or so.
Theories[]
After the video began circulating the internet, many of the viewers began making their own theories and beliefs about the video. Users began writing comments in the video, trying to explain what could be behind the video or what the video could be in the first place. The most common theory is that the video is part of a "snuff" movie and that someone anonymously posted the video to YouTube. However, if the video were a part of an actual snuff tape, YouTube would have taken down the video for violations of terms of service.
The theory goes as far as to suggest that the man is sobbing and crying because he is being forced to eat soup made out of his own family members, more specifically his own wife, and that this is his final meal of his life, after which the RayRays would eat the man. Some would also claim that the video is a representation of "hell" and that the RayRays portray demons that torture a soul (being the man, sobbing).
Explainations[]
| NOTE: This explainations is not 100% verified. |
Hacker Theory[]
A user reached out for more information about the video, and he found out the following. That the freak soup guy was first published on the YouTube channel "Adana." It turns out that a hacker has been operating Raymond's YouTube channel "renaissancemen." The hacker also explained that he stole the costumes to create the Blank Room Soup videos as an art project. The hacker even went to verify by explaining that he has a second YouTube channel, "Adana's children," where 4 unseen videos are seen of RayRays in different fields. However many dismiss the claim and believe that the "hacker" and the person behind all of this is none other than Raymond himself.
Stolen Babies Theory[]
In the third video, RayRays kidnaps some male person. This person's clothes, glasses, and face paint are similar to Gil Sharone's appearance, a person who is part of the Stolen Babies rock band. Also, RayRays and this band have some photos with each other, and even RayRays appeared in the "Push Button" music video, which was released the same year as "freaky soup guy" so actually, Blank Room Soup is a video series created by the band to promote themselves and their music. Even this seems odd; the vocalist/accordionist of the band is Dominique Lenore Persi, the sister of Raymond.
Other Details[]
- The person who eats food in the first two videos' appearance is similar to Raymond himself.
- If all things were real, then Raymond would not be chill and would call the cops.

Trivia[]
- On Wikipedia, when searching the word "Blank Room Soup," it redirects the reader to the list of creepypastas even though there is not any information about RayRays nor Blank Room Soup.
- It's possible they are apart of a cult of people wearing the same RayRays costume.
- In addition to the above theories, one popular theory was that the "Blank Room Soup" video was a video that originated on the deep web. However this was later debunked with the video having originated on YouTube in 2005.
