Raymond "Ray" Shoesmith is the protagonist of the FX black comedy-crime drama Mr Inbetween.
He is portayed by Scott Ryan.
Personality[]
Ray is a comical character but with a very particular personality, despite being a criminal he sees respect and honor as good qualities and is very empathetic towards the victims, especially children. He often plays the role of a vigilante and hates those who bully or crush the weakest.
Ray is honorable, sometimes respectful and very protective of his daughter and friends shows great affection for his daughter and constantly tries to redeem himself from his criminal life without changing who he has committed and commits brutal actions, in fact he has no particular remorse in killing.
Sometimes he can seem delusional other times arrogant or selfish all in all he is an anti-villain even if he can be seen as an anti-hero in some moments.
