Raymond Algaron is the secondary antagonist in Series 2 of the TV series Killing Eve. He is an employee of the Twelve, whose main job is to execute assassins who are deemed as no longer useful, including Villanelle.
He was portrayed by Adrian Scarborough.
Biography[]
Little is known about Raymond's life other than he is a married man with children, whom he deemed as ugly. He came under employment of the Twelve, but instead of getting paid with money, they let him have the "honor" of terminating assassins who outlive their usefulness.
In 2019, Raymond was sent to collect and eventually terminate Villanelle, who became a loose cannon and was therefore untrustworthy. He picked her up after she escaped from Julian's house, posing as her new handler and became very controlling over her. Over the next few days, he has her commit assassinations through boring methods and has her stay in her apartment. He even caught her trying to talk to Eve Polastri. Eventually, he failed to complete his task after she learns from Konstantin Vasiliev of his real occupation and escapes.
Weeks later, he was sent to Rome to make a deal with Aaron Peel for his weapon. However, he was told by Konstantin (under orders from Carolyn Martens) that Villanelle was nearby and that if she killed Peel, he would be allowed to come after her and Eve. After she did kill Peel according to Carolyn's plan, he ambushed her in a hotel while wielding an axe. After expressing how much he had been looking forward to killing her, Villanelle antagonized him by asking why would the Twelve send a "nobody" to meet Peel. Insulted, Raymond put the axe down and states that he is somebody and then proceeds to overpower her. Just as he nearly strangles her to death, Eve arrived and hesitantly stabs him in the shoulder with the axe to get him to let go and fall to the floor. As Raymond begged for his life after threatening to kill them and their loved ones, Villanelle convinced Eve to use the axe to finish him off.
